Gabriella, a female lone wolf, finds herself in a challenging situation after being adopted by her uncle, Patrick. Living with Patrick and his daughter, Immaculate, brings frustration into Gabriella's life as she struggles to find her place in the family. Despite being a member of the "DarkMoon Pack," Gabriella is relegated to the role of an omega, working as a servant under Alpha Caleb and serving Immaculate, who is set to become the Luna. Trapped in a life where she is treated as nothing more than a maid to Immaculate, Gabriella's story unfolds as she navigates her way through the complexities of pack dynamics and her own sense of identity.
"I'm so excited to let him know. I think I've been keeping it to myself for too long!" Gabriella muttered to herself, a smile of excitement lighting up her face.
Finally, she had made up her mind to tell the alpha that she was pregnant. She was having his baby! It was an exhilarating feeling.
As she was lost in her thoughts, alpha Caleb stepped out of the bathroom, wearing his shorts and draping a white towel over his shoulder. Sensing her presence, he turned towards her with a warm, knowing smile.
"Gabriella," he said, his eyes softening with affection as he approached her. "How are you feeling, darling?"
"I'm... okay" She responded while Caleb gazes at her suspectedly as he sat besides her.
It didn't take him long to realize that something was bothering her. "You are being bothered again? my mum right?" he asked and she waves her head.
"Um, it's not about that, actually..." Gabriella replied with a smile, finding it difficult to make a direct statement.
He gently took her hand in his, his touch reassuring. "Something's on your mind, isn't it? You can share it with me," he said, pressing a tender kiss on her forehead.
Gabriella smiled and took a deep breath as she held Caleb's hand, meeting his gaze.
Caleb widened his eyes as she hesitated to speak. "I... I..." she tried to say, but a loud noise interrupted them.
"Where is that good-for-nothing girl! That worthless thing!" The harsh voice sounded, as the Luna, Caleb's mother, stormed into the room, with Immaculate, Gabriella's cousin who was supposed to get married to the Alpha.
Gabriella looked down in frustration, knowing full well that they had come to torment her once again.
"Here comes the sheep in wolf form!" Immaculate sneered at Gabriella, but Caleb angrily yelled at her.
"Don't dare make such statement against her again! or I will cut off your tongue and feed it to you!" Caleb said with a loud voice.
"Leave her alone! Gabriella is the one you should be upset with!" the Luna defended Immaculate.
"Mum! I've told you several times not to come into my room without my permission!" Caleb yelled at his mother, frustration evident in his voice.
"Oh, Caleb dear! I wonder what she has done to you that you have become so blinded to see how dirty she is! She's just pretending and doesn't deserve to be with you! I've been telling you that Immaculate is better..." Before his mum could finish her sentence Caleb cut off.
"Mum, don't speak about my mate in that manner! She deserves to be respected. I won't have you call her names," Caleb defended, while Gabriella remained silent, her gaze fixed on the floor.
"Even when she hasn't respected herself! Haven't you been told that she's been having an affair with Patrick? She sleeps with him!" his mother accused, the words cutting through the air like a knife. Gabriella, stunned, rose from the bed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"What are you talking about...? It's not true!" Gabriella's voice shook with emotion as she vehemently denied the accusations.
"Seriously? you want to deny it?" Immaculate said.
Gabriella couldn't fathom where these allegations were coming from. Caleb, seeing her distress, felt a surge of protectiveness towards her.
"Keep your mouth shut!" Caleb snapped at Immaculate, then turned to his mother. "Mum... what the hell are you talking about? I know Gabriella. She can't do what you just said. I trust her. She can't do that!" Caleb's defense of Gabriella was unwavering.
"Oh, seriously...? I know you would defend her like always, but whatever she has done to you, it is going to end today because I have evidence to prove it!" Caleb's mother retorted, pulling out her phone.
Gabriella began to tremble, her mind racing with thoughts about the so-called evidence they were talking about. She knew she didn't do it, so what evidence could they possibly have?
Mr. Patrick, they are accusing her of having an affair with, was her uncle and Immaculate's dad and of course formal beta of the pack, he worked with the late alpha Jonathan who gave birth to Caleb.
So, Patrick had never shown any fondness for her ever since he adopted her, he doesn't care about her let alone having an affair with her. It was simply preposterous. How could they have evidence of something that didn't happen?
Ooh As she waited anxiously, Caleb's mother opened her phone and played a video for Caleb, who watched in disbelief. His mood and facial expression changed immediately, and he couldn't even finish the video before turning his gaze to Gabriella, shaking his head in disbelief.
"I can't... I can't believe that this is you, Gabriella. You...?" Caleb's voice was filled with sadness, as Gabriella felt panic consume her.
"You see! I've been telling you she's not trustworthy to be your mate! she's nothing but just a lazy dirty thing! you can't go any higher with her! she will bring you low and make you unfortunate like her dead parents!" the Luna said to him as Gabriella was already having tears falling down from her eyes.
"This is not true! Caleb, you have known me..." Gabriella tried to defend but Alpha Caleb interrupted, his pained expression evident as he struggled to process the situation.
Hearing her words, Caleb couldn't sense a lie, but the video appeared irrefutable. He didn't want to believe it, but the evidence left him no choice. "So, if it's not true, then tell me how you ended up in bed with him in this video? Is that not you sleeping on that bed?" Caleb's voice was filled with anger as he showed Gabriella the video.
Gabriella was taken aback, knowing that it was all a setup. She couldn't explain how Patrick ended up in the bed, as she knew she had slept alone that night.
This must have been Immaculate's doing. She had never accepted Gabriella as the alpha's true mate because she couldn't stand the fact that ordinary an omega and serving girl like Gabriella had taken her place in the alpha's heart. She thought Gabriella would continue to submit to her forever.
"Caleb, I don't know how it all happened, but believe me, this is not real. I..." Gabriella attempted to explain, but Caleb angrily cut her off.
"Gabriella, I hereby reject you as my mate and banish you from my sight. You have 24 hours to pack up and leave!" Caleb thundered, his eyes filled with unshed tears as he storms away.
Gabriella felt a deep, searing pain as Caleb's words pierced her heart.
"Caleb! Wait! wait Please!" Gabriella called after him, her voice tinged with desperation, but he walked away too quickly, unable to bear her presence any longer.
Gabriella knelt in tears, feeling the deep pain within her. Her wolf echoed her anguish, both feeling betrayed by Caleb.
He needed to understand that everything was fabricated, that it wasn't true. But how could she convince him when he had already seen the damning video.
"You better pack up your things quickly and don't leave a single item behind in this house!" the Luna yelled at her before storming off. Immaculate then stepped forward, wearing a mocking smile.
"I know you and your dad are responsible for this! Immaculate, you will pay for this!" Gabriella said in anger as her eyes began to turn gold, she sensed her wolf trying to take over. She fought to maintain control, knowing that allowing her wolf to take charge would only cause more damage. She understood that her wolf was in pain, just as she was.
"At least I'm not the one who's homeless now! You won't have my dad to shelter you either! Maybe then you'll appreciate what he's done for you," Immaculate retorted.
"He did good! Is that why he had to frame me up... you did this with him because you have been jealous of me, you hoped it was going to be you!" Gabriella said, her voice breaking with tears.
"Gabriella, you have been rejected. Please pack up your things and leave as soon as possible," Immaculate replied, leaving Gabriella's heart burning with pain. Looking at Immaculate always reminded her of losing her parents at a young age and being adopted by Immaculate's father, Mr. Patrick.
Living with Immaculate and her father had been a terrible experience. Immaculate had mistreated her, considering her nothing more than a slave, and her father did nothing to stop it. This was why Immaculate believed Gabriella would forever be a servant, especially when she was newly adopted into the pack as an ordinary omega, a mere serving female.
"Where should I go? I have lived within this pack for almost all my life. And what about Caleb's baby? I will have to keep it to myself, I have no need of letting him know anymore," Gabriella muttered with tears in her eyes as she attempted to get up from the floor but found it difficult. She was still feeling deep pain, and her wolf hasn't gotten over it.
