Chapter 1 LET'S DO IT

A grand entrance welcomes residents and visitors, adorned with lush landscaping and artistic water features. The building has state-of-the-art security systems to ensure privacy and safety for its residents.

High-speed elevators take residents to their private floors, where each unit has an open-concept layout and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light.

The living area has designer furniture and tasteful décor, creating an atmosphere of modern elegance.

The kitchen is a chef's dream, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, custom cabinetry, and sleek countertops.

The bedrooms are spacious retreats featuring plush carpeting, expansive closets, and en-suite bathrooms with luxurious finishes and spa-like amenities.

To top it off, the condo offers a range of five-star amenities, including a fitness center with cutting-edge equipment, a sparkling rooftop pool with cabanas and lounge areas, a spa and wellness center, concierge services, and exclusive access to private dining and event spaces.

On the second level, Unit B2, a man and a woman sit in the living room, each with a glass of untouched drink. The atmosphere is tense, with an unspoken tension hanging in the air as they exchange guarded glances.

"Inquire within, my dear Ismarie. What is it that you desire? A refined gentleman with a voice as smooth as silk awaits her command.

Ismarie's gaze lingers upon the man before her, a figure of undeniable allure. In his mid-forties, he possesses a charm that transcends age, with golden-brown hair neatly cropped and a well-maintained beard framing his chiseled jawline. His eyes, a mesmerizing shade of gray, hold a depth that seems to draw her in, captivating her with their intensity.

With features so finely sculpted, he embodies the epitome of handsomeness, a testament to years of dedication evident in the strength of his physique, honed through countless hours spent in the gym.

He is more than just attractive; he embodies allure itself.

Ismarie's voice carries a hint of resignation as she speaks, her words laced with disappointment and betrayal. "I anticipated such behavior from Liezel, my half-sister. She's been that way all my life. But Max... he blindsided me. He played me for a fool, and I refuse to let him escape it. I want him to pay for what he's done to me." Her resolve is palpable, fueled by a determination to seek justice for the hurt inflicted upon her.

The handsome gentleman's attentive gaze never wavers as Ismarie's hazel eyes darken with emotion, her words tinged with simmering anger that threatens to spill over. He observes the subtle shift in her demeanor, noting the tension that tightens her jaw and the faint quiver of her lips. With a silent understanding, he offers her a reassuring nod, a quiet affirmation of his support in her quest for justice.

Ismarie's anger and betrayal ignite a fire within her soul, "I will burn his whole damn house down if I have to. I will skin him alive! Hell, I will make him regret everything," she asserts, her voice tinged with steel as she exhales forcefully, her dark brown shoulder-length hair swaying with the motion.

Her determination radiates from every fiber of her being, a palpable force that propels her forward in her quest for retribution. With each sway of her hair, she signals her unwavering resolve to hold him accountable for his actions.

The gentleman's soothing voice interjects, a calming presence amidst Ismarie's storm of emotions. "Woah, woah, let's not get carried away," he says with a chuckle, his demeanor gentle yet firm. "We must tread carefully. Acting out of anger may not serve justice in the end. Let's devise a plan that ensures he faces consequences without jeopardizing your well-being." His words offer a beacon of reason amid her fury, urging her to consider the consequences of her actions.

Ismarie's laughter fills the air, releasing tension as she acknowledges her momentary lapse in composure. "I did get carried away, didn't I?" she admits with a chuckle, her demeanor lightening as she regains her composure. "But hey, I look great in orange," she adds, a playful glint in her eye as she flips her hair softly.

"I bet you do," he replies. The gentleman's response carries a subtle undertone, his gaze holding hers with an intensity that hints at a deeper meaning.

Ismarie breaks the eye contact, her throat clearing with a soft, hesitant sound. In that brief pause, she regains her composure, a subtle signal of her desire to return the conversation to safer ground.

"Anyway, thank you for patiently listening to my ramblings, Uncle Sean," Ismarie says, her voice tinged with gratitude as she offers a faint smile.

"Of course, Ismarie. Anytime," Uncle Sean responds with a warm smile, his eyes reflecting genuine concern and support. "Remember, I'm here for you, no matter what. And if you ever need someone to talk to, my door is always open." His affectionate tone conveys a familial bond, reassuring Ismarie that she is not alone in her struggles.

"I appreciate it so much," Ismarie expresses sincerely, her words imbued with genuine gratitude.

"But are you still going to call me 'uncle' even though you're no longer marrying my niece?" Sean asks, a mischievous glint dancing in his eyes.

Ismarie chuckles softly at Sean's playful remark. "Well, I can call you Mr. Sean. How does that sound?" she suggests with a hint of mischief.

Sean leans in, resting his elbow on the table as he meets Ismarie's gaze with a playful glint in his eyes. "How about just Sean?" he suggests, his tone laced with flirtation. "Let's see if anything bad will happen."

Ismarie mirrors Sean's movement, leaning on the table and resting her elbow beside his. With a sultry gaze, she meets his eyes and nods in agreement. "Just Sean. Mm, it sounds practical. I like it," she says, her voice tinged with a hint of playfulness.

Sean's laughter fills the air, a joyful sound that resonates with warmth and camaraderie. His eyes sparkle with amusement before speaking, "Let's go back to the plan before we forget our main goal, which is to get revenge," Sean suggests, his tone serious as he redirects their focus.

Ismarie's eyes widen in confusion at the unexpected pronoun. "We?" she asks, seeking clarification on Sean's inclusion in her pursuit of vengeance.

"Yes, do you think I want to miss out on all the fun?" Sean replies with a playful grin, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

His unexpected enthusiasm catches Ismarie off guard, but a flicker of amusement crosses her features as she realizes they're in this together.

"Mm, okay then, I will try to make it worth your time," Ismarie responds, a hint of intrigue in her voice as she considers the possibilities of their collaboration.

"You always make it, even if you aren't trying," Sean murmurs, his attention momentarily diverted to his phone as he speaks under his breath. Ismarie's gaze lingers on him for a moment, struck by the sincerity in his voice despite his distraction.

"I appreciate your help. Hell, if it were up to me, I would marry you today and have your baby by tomorrow." Says Ismarie jokingly, and Sean gasps at her in shock.

"What! When someone goes low, I go lower. No! ...I go deeper, six feet under the ground." Ismarie's resolve shines through in her response, and her determination is unmistakable.

Sean watches Ismarie in amazement, impressed by her unwavering determination.

Ismarie casually adds, "I'm not one to turn the other cheek if someone hits me. I don't act like a bigger person." Her straightforwardness is apparent.

'If someone slaps me, I ensure they cannot brush their teeth for a week. Sometimes even two weeks, it depends on how hard I punched them back.' Ismarie thinks as she grins from ear to ear.

Sean carefully ponders Ismarie's words before finally exhaling profoundly and saying, "Then let's do it." His serious expression indicates his readiness, and he means business.

Ismarie looks at him, puzzled, "Do what now?" she asks, her confusion evident in her expression.

"Let's get married." Sean's straightforward response catches Ismarie off guard.

Ismarie stares at him dumbfounded, realizing that her jest has taken an unexpected turn. She wonders why Sean seems so severe; after all, it was just a joke.
