A KISS WITH A BILLIONAIRE
CHAPTER ONE
*
As I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, I wondered how my life had come to this. A few weeks ago, everything had been going so well. I had a great job, a loving boyfriend, and a bright future ahead of me. But now, everything had fallen apart. My boyfriend had broken up with me, my job was in jeopardy, and I felt like I was stuck in a rut. I knew I needed to do something to turn my life around, but I didn't know where to start
As I lay there, I heard my phone buzz. I reached over to check it, and my heart sank when I saw the name on the screen. It was my friend, Melissa, and I knew she was going to want to take me out. I wasn't sure if I was up for it, but I knew I couldn't stay in bed all day. I took a deep breath and picked up the phone.
"Hi Ariana," Melissa said, her voice full of concern. "I know you're going through a tough time right now, and I just want to make sure you're doing okay. Are you up for a night out? I think it could be just what you need to take your mind off things."
I hesitated. Part of me wanted to curl up in bed and forget about the world, but another part of me knew that Melissa was right. I needed to get out of my apartment and clear my head. "Okay," I said. "Let's do it." I added and ended the call
*
I was on my way to the kitchen when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it, and there was Melissa, with her boyfriend Jason in tow. "Hey girl!" she said, giving me a big hug. "This is Jason, my boyfriend. He's heard so much about you, and he's excited to meet you!" Jason smiled and extended his hand. I took it, and felt a jolt of electricity run through me.
As I shook Jason's hand, I noticed that he was tall and handsome, with dark hair and green eyes. He had a confident air about him, and he seemed to be completely at ease. As I looked into his eyes, I felt a strange sense of familiarity, like I had known him before. It was a strange sensation, but I shook it off and tried to focus on the moment. "It's great to meet you, Jason,"I said, smiling back at him. "Melissa has told me so much about you!" He said and we walked in
"So, Ariana," Jason said, leaning in a bit closer. "I hear you're a bit of a party animal! Is that true?" His question caught me off guard, and I hesitated before answering. "Well, I like to have a good time," I said, trying to sound confident. "But I wouldn't say I'm a party animal!" Jason laughed. "Ariana is a party animal, she's just still healing from her past breakup" Melissa chipped in and he nodded
I looked around the room, feeling slightly uncomfortable. i wasn't sure why Jason's question had made me feel so uneasy. Maybe it was the way he had leaned in close, or the way he was looking at me. I tried to brush off the feeling and focus on the conversation. "So, Jason," i said, trying to sound cheerful. "What do you do for a living?" Jason's face lit up as he launched into a detailed explanation of his job. I listened, but my mind kept drifting back to the strange feeling i had when he asked me about being a "party animal."
As I listened to Jason talk about his job,I couldn't help but feel like something was off. His words were friendly and his smile was charming, but something about him seemed... fake. Like he was hiding something
I tried to focus on what he was saying, but my mind kept wandering. What was it about him that seemed so off? Was it the way he spoke? The way he carried himself? Or was it just my imagination? I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong
Immediately Melissa left the room to answer a call, Jason moved closer and I wasn't sure what was about to happen. I felt my breath catch in my throat. His gaze was intense, and I was caught off guard. Then, I heard the door open again, and Melissa rushed back in. "Everything okay?" she asked, her voice full of concern. I wasn't sure what to say but I'm very sure her so called boyfriend doesn't love her,why will he if he's flirting with me?
"We were just talking and we got carried away"he said and Melissa seems to believe him
As soon as Jason left the room; he said he needed to attend to something, I felt like I could breathe again. I turned to Melissa, who was still looking at me with a curious expression. "Are you sure everything's okay?" she asked. "You seem a little off." I hesitated, not sure how to respond. I wasn't sure how much I could tell her. Finally, I said, "I'm just a little stressed out." Melissa nodded, and her face softened.
"You know you can talk to me about anything, right?" Melissa said. "We're best friends. You can tell me anything." I felt a rush of gratitude for her friendship. She had always been there for me, no matter what. I took a deep breath and said, "It's just... I'm not sure if I can trust Jason." I hesitated, unsure if I should continue. But Melissa just nodded, encouraging me to go on. "What makes you say that?" she asked.
"It's just... there's something about him that doesn't feel right," I said. "I can't put my finger on it, but I just have this feeling that he's not what he seems." Melissa's face was full of concern. "That's a pretty serious accusation," she said. "Do you have any evidence to back it up?" I shook my head. "I know it sounds crazy," I said. "But I can't shake the feeling." Melissa's expression softened. "I trust your intuition, I'm also having some doubts about my boyfriend but I just wanna overlook for now. Let's forget about that for now,I need to come home now,I will come back in the evening so we could go for the clubbing" she said and I nodded
*
Melissa just messaged me some minutes ago saying she's on her way so I decided to dress up. I wasn't sure if going out was a good idea, but the thought of staying home alone all night was even less appealing. I decided to go ahead and get ready. Just as I was finishing up, I heard the front door open. I rushed to the door and saw Melissa standing there, a smile on her face. "Ready to go?" she asked. I took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, let's do this."
We drove to the club, and as we pulled up, I could feel my heart racing. The neon lights outside the club were pulsing, and the music was already pounding through the walls. We walked up to the bouncer at the door, and he let us in without any problem. As soon as we stepped inside, the sound of the music hit me like a wall of sound. It was loud and the bass was thumping. I could feel the vibrations through my body.
I was wearing a tight black dress, with a low-cut neckline. My hair was pulled back in a sleek ponytail, and I was wearing black heels. I had on a light coat of makeup, with dark red lipstick. Melissa was wearing a white crop top, with a pair of jeans that were ripped at the knees. Her blonde hair was curled and hung down to her shoulders. She was wearing silver hoop earrings and a pair of high heels.
The club was crowded, and people were dancing on the floor. The air was thick with the smell of perfume and sweat. There were strobe lights flashing, and the music was so loud that I could feel it in my chest. I could see people drinking, talking, and laughing. There was a bar at one end of the room, and a DJ was spinning music at the other end. The dance floor was packed, and people were moving to the beat of the music. I could feel the energy in the room, and it was infectious.
As I watched Melissa having a good time, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a tall, dark-haired man standing behind me. "Would you like a drink?" he asked, flashing a smile. I hesitated, not sure what to say. "I'm not sure if I should," I said. "I don't really drink." He shrugged. "It's your choice, of course," he said. "But I'd be happy to buy you a drink if you'd like." I thought about it
I considered the man's offer. I didn't know him, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to accept his drink. But I also didn't want to be rude. I decided to take a chance and accept the drink. "Thank you," I said, as he handed me a glass of something fizzy. "You're welcome," he said. "My name's Leonardo, by the way." "Ariana," I said, shaking his hand. "It's nice to meet you." "The pleasure's all mine," he said, smiling. We chatted for a while and I couldn't help to admire him
I felt his hand on my waist,His eyes were bright, and his lips were close to mine. I could feel the electricity between us, and I knew what was going to happen next. He leaned in, and our lips met. The kiss was gentle at first, but it quickly grew more passionate. I felt a rush of emotions and my stomach couldn't stop tingling As we pulled away, I looked into his eyes and he did same..
*
A week later,I woke up feeling a mix of emotions. I was also nervous about my job interview. I had been working as a waitress for the past few months, and I was hoping to find something that would allow me to use my degree. I got ready for the interview, trying to calm my nerves. I knew that I was prepared, but I still felt a sense of anxiety. I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.
*
As I walked into the CEO's office, I tried to control my nerves. This was a big moment for me, and I didn't want to mess it up. I introduced myself to the receptionist, and she led me to the office. When I entered, I saw a man sitting behind the desk. He was tall and handsome, with dark hair and piercing eyes. As I looked at him, I felt a chill run down my spine. He looked familiar, but I couldn't place him.
The CEO stood up and walked around his desk. He extended his hand, and I shook it, trying to remain calm. But the closer he got, the more familiar he looked. Something about him was nagging at the back of my mind, but I couldn't place it. He was speaking to me, but I couldn't focus on what he was saying. My mind was racing, trying to figure out why he looked so familiar. Then, it hit me. I knew who he was.
*
Who do you think it is?
*Fernando, this letter is for you,I'm sorry to break this to you but I can't get married to you,I love someone else, infact as you are reading this,I'm out of the country already so don't bother to look for me, explain this to our parents and I'm sorry once again * Mariana finished reading looking so confused as she dropped the letter, everyone was staring at her already. "Buh...what about the wedding? So it won't take place anymore?" Mariana asked. " Of course it will,my son will definitely get married today,I won't allow my reputation get ruined." Mr Lincoln said looking so annoyed. " But Alicia isn't here, how will the wedding take place without the bride herself ?" Mariana argued and Mr Lincoln looked at Mrs Gilbert who nodded understandingly. The darkness closed in around me like a shroud, suffocating me. I couldn't breathe, couldn't think. The words echoed in my mind like a death sentence: "You are now property of the Rossi brothers." My father's betrayal stung like a fresh wound. He had sold me, his own daughter, to the ruthless Mafia brothers. Leonardo, Vincent, and Matteo Rossi were notorious for their cruelty and cunning. I knew I was doomed. The black car stopped, and the door opened. A hand grabbed for me, like a claw. I tried to pull away, but it was too late. "You're mine, little puppy," Kylan growled against my neck. A soft gasp escaped my lips as his lips brushed my skin. My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
Life was perfect until she met her boyfriend's big brother. There was a forbidden law in the Night Shade Pack that if the head Alpha rejected his mate, he would be stripped of his position. “Do I want a taste?” his voice deeper than he had ever spoken. His eyes pinned on me like I was the only thing that fascinated him. “What do I do?” I thought to myself as he moved closer to me, I wanted to run away, to resist him but I was pinned to the wall by him. “Gosh I hate this man so much” his scent, his body, his beautiful green eyes, he was driving me crazy. I know this is wrong, he has a fiancee and all but that makes me want him even more. “Get on the bed and spread your legs” his cold voice woke me up and then I remembered I was just a maid to him. “Yes master”.
