"Lia Elinor, look at me!"

Aubrey Walton grabbed Lia's hair and pulled Lia up from the ground, forcing Lia to look at her.

Lia was all skin and bones, and her cheeks were sunken. It was the middle of winter, yet she was wearing nothing but a tattered, thin, and dirty psychiatric gown. She was like a walking corpse and did not react to Aubrey's actions at all.

Aubrey was obviously not satisfied.

Aubrey thought, I have been planning for six years. Finally, I got to Lia. How can I be satisfied without seeing how desperate she is?

"You are about to die. Don't you want to see your grandfather?" Aubrey smiled viciously.

Lia finally reacted when she heard her grandfather being mentioned.

Behind the curtain, an old man was lying on the bed. He was haggard, and there were tubes all over him.

He seemed conscious, but he couldn't speak or move. Looking at Lia, who was out of all recognition, he cried hard.

"Grandpa..." Lia looked at the old man in shock, her hands trembling.

Three years ago, to marry Alfred Helin, she had a huge fallout with Luka Elinor, her grandfather. However, Alfred had already hooked up with Aubrey, her cousin. He only married Lia to get her share of the Elinor Group.
