Elena's pov
I felt completely naked in the revealing body con dress I am wearing now. Unlike everyone else in the club, I was uncomfortable with my attire.
I drinks cautiously, remembering the betrayal.
"Shit!" I muttered in my drunken state.
"That bastard!" I hiccupped my face all red.
The club is full of people having a good time, and the music hits me in the chest, making me feel disoriented.
swaying through the multicolored lights, I couldn't help feeling a gaze piercing my very being. It consumed my thoughts, making me nervous and intoxicated. It was as if a hole had been drilled through it.
I took a sip of cocktail and muttered in a trembling voice. "Why... Why do I feel like someone is watching me? Like a laser is going through my soul." My words are slurred, indicating that I is getting more and more drunk.
I looked over my shoulder desperately for the source of the uneasy feeling. The crowd merged into one, faces dissolved into a sea of anonymity. The room seemed to revolve around me as I focused on my flickering self-image the mirror across from the bar. I hiccupped, laughing like an idiot to myself, and my breath smelled of alcohol.
"You just got drunk, Elena." I murmured. My words were drowned out by the booming bass. "Everyone is dancing and having a good time. Nobody's looking at you very much." My voice trembled, and I wasn't even sure myself.
Taking another sip of the cocktail, I gripped my glass tighter. But the feeling persisted and grew stronger. I frowned anxiously and shook my head to the music.
I nervously looks around my room, my eyes twinkling. I squinted my eyes, trying to focus in the dim light.
"There is something... Or someone... I can feel it. Why does it feel like a laser beam is going through my skull?" I squirted.
reaching for the half-empty whiskey bottle on the coffee table. I takes a sip, hoping it will dull my senses. "Maybe I drank too much," I said. "But seriously, it's like two eyes are drilling holes in me,"
I takes another sip of my whiskey, wincing at my burnt face. My gaze turns inward, and I starts talking to herself in a quiet tone.
In a low voice, "Okay, Elena, calm down. Nobody is watching you. You're just being paranoid. It's just alcohol playing with your mind. Breathe... relax."
I searched the room to find my best friend who brought me to her club, only to find her flirting with a younger man in a dark corner of her club.
"Hello." Frightened by his cold voice, I furrowed my eyebrows. "Jesus! Stephen?! How dare you deceive me?! How dare you?!" Mistaking him for my cheating boyfriend, I yelled at him. I fell and tried to hit an innocent man.
"Hey!" The boy screamed, but my hand pressed against his face so hard that he screamed in pain.
"How dare you hit me?!" He yelled at me.
"How dare you fool me? I want to rip your stupid face off." I laughed drunkenly.
He angrily pulled my hair and raised his hand to hit him.
"Get that damn hand out." Ordered a cold, deep baritone, a murderous aura enveloped the club.
A wondrous figure of a demigod appeared before him, accompanied by several bodyguards. "If you're having trouble breathing, touch it!"
The boy laughed and said, "Who are you? Are you a knight in shining armor? ha ha ha!... "
He laughed out loud.
I punched him in the face. "How dare you say that to my husband?" I felt that my drinking had completely lost my memory and caused me stutter.
"Haha!... What kind of joke is this?... Who are you?" The boy scoffed.
"Get him out of the club," in a low but cold voice, he commanded his body guards and the man was driven out of the house amidst screams and protests.
"Thank you, husband," I hiccupped, and the smell of alcohol came from my mouth. "You're so breathtaking..." I fainted.
**************
My eyes fluttered open, and the bright sunlight streaming through the window hit my face, causing me to groan and bury my head under the covers. I couldn't remember much from last night, except the shots of wine with a stranger at the bar. I felt uneasy as I tried to adjust my vision to the blinding light while massaging my temples.
I yawned and tugged at my tense bones, my eyes widening instantly as I remembered something.
As I peeled back the covers, a wave of shock surged through my body. There was a guy lying beside me, naked. Judging by the scattered clothes and empty bottles strewn across the room, we obviously didn't just have a cup of coffee. There is more to the situation than meets the eye.
Panic set in as I tried to recall what happened, but my mind was fuzzy, and everything felt like a blur. I racked my brain, but no name or face came to mind, only a tangle of a headache. But suddenly, a scene flashed across my mind. "Jesus!" I cried as the events of the previous night swirled in my mind.
A story about spending one night with a man I met at a nightclub.
I whispered to myself in a low voice. "Oh no, no, no. What did I do?"
I cautiously moved, trying not to wake the sleeping stranger. I sat up, clutching the sheet to my chest, my heart pounding in my chest.
"With a shaky voice, "How did this happen? I can't believe I had a one-night stand... and with a complete stranger!"
"Where are my clothes? Did I even use protection? What was I thinking?" I hit my head continuously.
I spotted my dress hanging haphazardly over the back of a chair. I quickly grabbed it and began getting dressed, trying to keep my composure.
"Okay, Elena, stay calm. You need to handle this situation with maturity and grace. This can't be worse than catching your boyfriend cheating on you. It isn't!" I talked to myself, trying to build my confidence. "It's not the end of the world."
