The alpha's unlucky mate

"Mark me", I demanded.

"I will, You are mine and you belong to just me."

"I want you," I said burning for him and wanting his touch.

"I would give anything to hear the sound you will make when I am inside you." he ran his fingers through my hair and proceeded to kiss my thighs. I let out a shaky breath as his hands explored my whole body and then he leaned in for a kiss.

The harsh intrusion of light pierced through the curtains, courtesy of an impertinent puller fractured the delicate cocoon of my dreams. I grumbled, my eyes squinting against the upsetting rays, and suddenly a twitch of irritation coursed through me.

Still struggling to open my eyes with a resounding headache I heard a voice. So familiar to the one from my dreams- oh it was a dream.

"Is this how you sleep all day?" he asked.

I had to crane my neck to see who had just spoken to me and it was the alpha. I cursed under my breath.

"Is that why you pulled the curtains in that manner?" the frustration built up within me.

I looked up to see him staring at me, his face was a blank canvas devoid of any emotions and that pissed me off more.

I realized something was off, and wondered where I was and how I got there.

"You look confused," he stated the obvious.

"Obviously." Then it all flashed back to my memory 'last night' on my way home. "You kidnapped me."

"He scoffed. "Whatever you wish to believe."

Before I could say something else he cut me short. "Breakfast will be ready in 30." and walked away.

"Hmm so rude," I thought to myself. I still wanted to know why he abducted me and kept me here but first I was starving and I looked like a mess, I decided to do that after breakfast.

There was a knock on my door and I responded. A maiden brought in a dress for me and left. I had to freshen up first while bathing I was in thoughts mostly in shock, I never expected the party would end this way.

The last thing I remembered was when I heard a voice growl and he said 'my mate'.I had come to the party with hopes of finding my mate so I wouldn't go back home but I didn't see it happening this way.

Now, all of a sudden I'm here was weird I would admit but deep down it felt safe. I tried to be angry but my body wouldn't let me and my Wolf only seemed to be awake when he was around.

After I showered, I put on the dress and it was lovely on me just a simple sleeveless flay yellow dress, the dress wasn't too much I loved it.

I stepped out of my room and I didn't know which direction to go, the place was so big so many rooms and hallways. I was almost lost but I saw the maiden that brought the dress and she pointed the dining hall to me.

Approaching the dining the table was filled with all kinds of food, roast lamb with a rich sauce, caviar and lobsters, fancy soups, and exotic drinks with a castle-like cake for dessert. All these for breakfast? Earth to Blake I said as I found myself salivating, I had to comport myself.

I got to the dining and I saw a lady sitting beside the alpha whom I guessed was his girlfriend, Lisa I'd heard of her. She was so beautiful, her skin was so white and spotless with her dark blonde hair she looked like a goddess.

I knew I didn't stand a chance against her definitely not in this life or even next. I wasn't as beautiful as she was, I was just average I wasn't so tall and I looked so skinny too due to malnutrition at home, there was nothing attractive about me.

"Hey, I'm Lisa. Nice to meet you. She stretched her hands out for a handshake and a smile on her lips.

"Blaire." I smiled shyly. Looking up my eyes met with that of the alphas', his eyes traveled down and mine followed him.. to see his fingers entangled with Lisa's own. Did he do that on purpose for me to see?

I ignored him and went ahead to eat, it tasted so nice and I ate faster than everyone but at this point, I couldn't care less. After eating, I headed to my room probably to continue my sleep or think for a way to meet with Richard to discuss why I was there.

On my way back, I think I was lost again everywhere looked the same. He came out of God knows where I was startled I don't know how he managed to do that so well.

"I hope you don't think being a Luna is all about eating and sleeping, you have responsibilities too."

I swallowed hard. "What? Did he have to be so rude?" I thought but didn't say anything.

"Yes, you also get to train Our pack doesn't need a weak Luna."

I just nodded. I was excited that I got to train. He was about to leave when I called out.

"Wait. Does that mean you've decided to keep me as your mate?"

" You are too weak to be my mate I am only keeping you here for an heir. I am very sure you can't even fight or defend yourself not to mention the pack. You have to fight for your position as the Luna."

I held back my tears just as he walked away I didn't choose to be weak. I wasn't a lazy person I used to train with my dad before he passed but my stepfather kept feeding me with wolfsbane and gave me a piece of silver jewelry to wear around my neck to suppress my wolf and make me weak, claiming that he was only keeping me safe.

The maiden brought a cloth to my room, it was a two-piece a flexible top and pants with adjustable waistbands and safely padded areas around the elbows and ankles. Just for fighting, I guess but it fitted and I looked good in it.

I got to the fields where some people were also training but I was a little far from them, still waiting for the Richard and wondering why he would ask me to prepare but wasn't here.

"Waiting for me?" someone tapped me from behind and the voice was not the alpha's voice I had to crane my neck to see- oh my God! Maxwell!. I smiled hard it was so nice to see a friendly face around here.

"What are you doing here?" I asked excitedly.

"I should be asking you, though I heard the alpha found his mate and I was supposed to help her train but I must admit I'm surprised you are the one."

I shrugged, unsure of what to say.

"Okay let us get to business... where are the weapons?"

Maxwell chuckled... almost choking on his laugh "There are no weapons.

"Bare hands?"

"More like bare paws... you'll have to turn." he laughed.

"I'm still recovering my wolf side has been suppressed for years now." I sounded almost sad.

His eyes dimmed with sudden understanding. "Well, we have to work on it to get you started because Lisa is the strongest female wolf in the pack and everyone thinks you don't stand a chance against her."

"I don't understand... what has Lisa got to do with this?" I was so confused.

"You are not aware? I shook my head and urged him with my hands to spill."

"Ok. It's a tradition that Luna is supposed to be the strongest in the pack so since Lisa is the strongest you'll have to fight with her and if you win... You will become the Luna leaving her dead or if she wins you will be dead.."

I was aghast and my mouth opened in shock and disbelief. "Was this their plan all along?"
