I knew I was safe in the panic room even fire could not penetrate its deep walls. But who would come for me now if my father was dead? Who was it that attacked my pack? I could feel my wolf rise up in me and a shimmering light surround me as I slowly lost consciousness. Save me great moon goddess.

As I began to wake, I could hear voices on the edge of my consciousness. It seemed as if two men where arguing. Had the attackers breached the panic room? What were they saying? If I could only make out their words. My wolf stirs

in my mind, but she no longer pacing on attack she was calm and receded further back in my mind. Where they here to rescue me then. Had my pack prevailed. I slowly begin to wake up and two men come into my vision, but I am no longer in the panic room I am in a room I do not know, all of it is unknown to me, the sights and the scents of this place are unfamiliar to me. Where am I, was I taken prisoner? Are these the people that killed my father and destroyed my pack? Do they know who I am? Could I pretend to be a nobody? Do they know I am the alpha’s only child destined to rule the pack after my father?

“She is awake, now we will get the answers to our questions for father?”

“You are safe, we ran the attacking pack off? Can you tell us what happened to your pack?

“I am Seraphina, an omega of the Moonlight pack, I served the alpha and his family in the pack house.”

“Who are you? Where am I? Where is my pack?”

“Seraphina, I am Phoenix, and this is Aidan we are the sons of Alpha Drake and Luna Lea of the midnight pack.” Phoenix said.

“Can you tell us what happened?” Aidan added.

“All I can remember is a mind link from the Luna was sent out to run and hide.” Seraphina said.

“Then I felt the mind link to the Alpha snap. That is when I passed out and woke up here.”

“We are sorry Seraphina, but you were the only survivor we found. All the men were slaughtered, and the women taken.” Phoenix said with a sad heart.

I had sunk back into the bed I was on. They were all gone killed or captured. What could I do now? I have not even shifted yet, I can feel my

wolf, but I will not be able to shift till my eighteenth birthday. That is a year from now.

If they can destroy the whole of the moonlight pack, they can destroy the whole of the alliance packs as well, no one is safe. We are all in danger. But who is strong enough to do such a thing?

“It looks like a rouge attack” Phoenix said.

“Or at least it was meant to look that way, but we had our pack witch with us when we found you, and she said very powerful magic was used

to infiltrate your pack they had to have used at least 13 witches to overpower your pack. Do you know of anyone who would have that kind of power or have a reason to take all the women and girls captive in your pack.” Aidan questioned.
