Forbidden Obsession

Katherine POV

Waking up to the sound of birds chirping, I brought my hand to cover my mouth. Upon remembering what day it is, the smile on my face fell. My expression turned blank as I stared at empty space. Today I would be taken to Dawn pack to marry the Alpha.

My father, the Alpha of Red moon pack was marrying me off to an old man. He is the Alpha 0f Dawn pack..

Since I was an illegitimate daughter of the Alpha, my father had seized to cherish me like he does to my sister, Maggie.

My mother, who was a maid started having a secret affairs with Alpha Denim and she somehow got pregnant. When she found out about her pregnancy, she fled in her life of the Luna killing her.

But words soon reached to the Luna that my mother was pregnant for the Alpha. She got annoyed and plotted the killing of my mother. She sent men after my mother and she managed to escape until she had me as a baby. When I was old enough, my mother left me for my grandmother and continued to run away until she got killed.

My grandmother died from an incurable illness and I was left alone to fend for myself. My father found out about me and sent men to fetch me to the pack. He took me in and warned me not to reveal my true identity.

Somehow, his wife managed to find out and she made my life miserable in the pack. They turned me into a slave and would make me do hard chores. I would clear the field under the sun and wash all the pack house clothes. I was not allowed to eat from their food, rather I ate the crumbs meant for slaves. The maids no longer respected me as they see me as a slave. I was left alone in this small room to fend for myself.

Even after confronting my father, he would add more punishments to my list and make me do so many hard work.

When my father heard that the Alpha of Dawn pack wanted a bride from our pack, my father chose me.

Alpha Marcos was an old man who was old enough to become my father.

I stood up from the bed and headed into the bathroom to get myself ready for the day. A white gown was placed on the hanger for me the previous night.

I stood in front of the mirror to look at my finish look. My lips had been painted light pink and my black shiny hair was tied with a band.

With the white flowy gown that I wore, I was happy with the way I looked.

Hearing the door opened, I moved my eyes to look at the maid who had come to inspect my look. She was the only maid who respected me even though I was an illegitimate child.

"Good morning, Miss Katherine." She bowed her head slightly. "Your in-laws has arrived and your father request to see you right now."

I turned to Mary who was still standing at the door. "How do I look?" I asked.

My eyes met her blue eyes as I asked her and a small smile came to rest on her face.

"You look beautiful, Miss Katherine." She smiled at me.

"Where is Jack?" I whispered, making sure nobody outside could hear my voice. The reason I had become so close to Mary was because of how she helped me deliver letters to Jack.

Jack was a powerful warrior in the pack who I had fallen in love with since last two years were I met him during training. He was tall with muscular body and brown hair. Unlike the other boys I had met in this pack, he was the only one who had loved for me who I am.

He never argued or throw curse at me but instead he adored me. We had planned on how he was going to help me escape from the pack house before my wedding with Alpha Marcos. He had promised to meet me here but now that I hadn't seen him after dressing, I was worried.

"I saw him entering one of the rooms today." She bowed her head slightly before leaving the room.

I took a deep breath before stepping out of my room. Walking through the corridor, I heard the faint noise of Jack coming from a room. My mind was overwhelmed with excitement as I turned the door knob and opened the door.

My excitement died down when I opened the door. I blinked in confusion at the sight I just witnessed.
