Chapter 1 DISAPPOINTED

Sobbing quietly Elara stood at the front of her son who was quietly kneeling and his head facing the ground while he was busy thinking about the video game he and his peers played earlier that day and ignoring his mother's ranting "At this rate your son's ear will start bleeding Mrs blackthorn " kieran teased his wife Tristan whose thinking was cut short by his dad's voice was very happy because he knows that it is only his dad that can get him out of the situation.

Tristan who was busy staring at his mother and father arguing got a tap from his father signalling him to go to his room . On his way to his room he heard his father's voice " don't forget what your mum just said " Tristan who was not sure who is father was talking to replied impulsively while thinking about what his father meant but later concluding that his father was definately talking to him since there is no one else in the house except from him and his parents . On getting to his room he slammed the door shut jumped on his bed and let out a loud sign .

Outside his room kieran was still trying to calm down his wife when the door opened and seraphina walked in. "You came really late today where were you " kieran asked his first daughter and his last born " I went out with my friends " " it's Tristan again right " seraphina who knew something was up by the atmosphere asked as Elara signed "who else would it be " kieran while going to the kitchen said to his daughter "don't come this late again , or else you will be grounded" kieran added as Elara followed closely behind .

Seraphina who was already tired went to her room and slammed the door shut. Tristan who heard that immediately came out of his room and knocked on the door next to his " what do you want " seraphina said while groaning " I'm coming in.." tris said and not waiting for his sister's reply before entering her room to meet her on her bed lying face flat "sera, are you tired " Tristan asked with a very concerned voice "yes , so get out " sera said " and you should be more worried about your self than you are with me " sera added while just wanting to get her beauty sleep .

Not long after Tristan went back to his room did he hear a knock on the door " dinner is ready " kieran said "I'm not hungry " Tristan said while squeezing his pillow harder . Kieran who does not want to disturb his son any longer knocked on sera's door " dinner is ready" he said again "I have already eaten " sera said and immediately went back to sleep " I don't want you guys snooping around the fridge in the night" kieran taught to him self as he went back to inform his wife that none of the children are eating. On the dinning table kieran could see that his wife was extremely worried about their son .

"The food was delicious thank you very much my darling wife " kieran said while ceresing his wife cheeks with a cheesy smile , Elara mood lightened up as she stood up to clean the dinning and watch the plates "don't worry I'll do it go and sleep " kieran volunteers knowing how much stress his wife have been through lately . Elara knowing very well thar her husband will not let her do the chores did not bring up any argument against it and went straight to their room. Kieran who was done with the chores and now in his room carefully entered his bed and looked at his wife's face for a few seconds then he said "I will do everything in my power to make sure he enters college " before giving her a reassuring kiss on the forehead, Elara who was partly asleep smiled lightly as her husband huged her and they both feel asleep.

"Haa..." sera screamed as she bumbed into someone who was none other than her brother "shuu... " Tristan said while trying to cover his sister's mouth but got brushed away by his sister "don't put your stinking hands on my mouth ever again " seraphina said while cleaning her mouth vigorously " keep your voice down , you would not want to wake mum and dad...... and my hands are very neat at least more neat than yours" tris said as he looked at his hands" " you wish" sera sneered .

"What are you doing here ??" tris asked "what you are doing here " sera replied "what..? " tris said confused at her answers " I'm doing what you are doing" sera pushed tris aside to get what she wants from the fridge "and just what do you think I'm doing " "isn't that obvious.... " sera replied while tris gave her a questioning look "you are stealing snaks " sera replied while looking for something in the fridge " I'm not stealing...,I'm taking..." tris defended himself. Sera smacked her lips together while shaking her head as tris ignored her and headed for the living room "WAIT..." sera said while scanning her brother's hand "what flavour of juice is in your hands " she said in a haist hoping that her brother did not take her favourite flavour "banana" he answered while turning to leave as seraphina said "that is mine " she rushed to collect it from him but the difference in height was clear because tris raised his hands up and sera could not reach it even by jumping. She gave up that method and tried to use her puppy dog eye but it was null and void "that doesn't work on me any more so you should give up " he said as he started to walk away but gave it a second taught because he doesn't like seeing his little sister sad and he knows that is the only banana flavour remaining in the fridge and that's her favourite flavour "take" he said as seraphina quickly collected it from his hand before he changes his mind and Tristan went back to the fridge to take the strawberry flavoured juice that was there before he decided to head straight to his room and not the living room.

As he was leaving sera looked at him with a questioning look but decided to keep it to her self as it might cost her her juice and went to her room to read.
