My name is Evelyn White. I'm 20 now. I Always believed my grandma's words. There is always good in everyone's heart no matter how cruel that person is. But ever since I meet him, I don't know if I can still believe what I believe. I cursed as well as blessed the day I met him. He is the devil who made my life hell. He took everything for me. He made me his sex slave. He made me no longer have my body and my heart because they already belonged to him.

Chapter 1 The Day We Met

Evelyn's POV:

I can't stop smiling looking at the picture of me standing with famous chefs on my phone. My heart wanted to jump out of my chest with fireworks BOOM! over my head when a week ago they said my name, Evelyn White, as the winner got tickets for a free trip to Paris for two nights.

It was like a beautiful dream come true that I could meet the famous chefs there and learn how to make cakes. Time seems to fly by, but my beautiful memories of Paris will forever stay in my mind.

Now I'm sitting in a seat at the airport waiting for my flight back to New York, my hometown. Even though it's only been two days, I really miss my grandma, our sweet home, and our bakery. Although our place is not big, but it's like heaven for us.

I only live with my grandma. We lived upstairs and had a bakery downstairs. My mom died in a car accident when I was two years old. I'm 20 now. My grandpa also had died due to illness. And my dad I never met him. I don't even know what he looks like. They only told me he was dead.

"You blind man! You're getting in my way!"

In curiosity, I turned to my left. I saw a fat, angry man stepping over the feet of a man wearing sunglasses, who was sitting in a chair not far from mine, and the fat man left in a hurry.

As my eyes fell on the man wearing sunglasses, I couldn't deny his handsome face mesmerized me. He had brown hair that was neatly combed back, fair skin, and a strong jaw. I think he was around 30 or less. His body looks dashing in a fine gray suit, white shirt, and black tie. Looking at his long legs, he must be tall.

His cell phone suddenly slipped from his hand and fell from his lap to the floor. I furrowed my brows, asking myself why he didn't take the cell phone.

Is he really blind? The question popped into my head, concern overtook me.

I put my cell phone in my hand into my bag, stood up from my seat, walked over, and sat next to him as I took his cell phone on the floor. "Here's your cell phone. You dropped it on the floor," I said in a soft voice.

I furrowed my brows in wonder cause he didn't take his cell phone from my hand. He didn't even look at me like I was a ghost that one couldn't see or hear.

I let out a sad sigh. "Oh ... you’re so pity. You are not only blind, but also deaf." I paused, staring sadly into his face. My cheeks puffed up instantly in annoyance. "That fat man has no heart! He shouldn't scold you, saying you're blind!" I inhaled sharply, suppressing my annoyance.

In caring, I stared at his face. "I truly wish one day you could see and hear so you could see your face. Oh gosh! You are so handsome and I believe you have a good heart, too." I smiled to myself, my cheeks heating up. I wouldn't have dared say that to him if he wasn't deaf.

It surprised me. My heart skipped a beat at hearing him chuckle. He opened his glasses, looked into my eyes. I stopped breathing as I forgot how to blink stunned into those beautiful gray eyes.

One corner of his lips lifted into a devilish smirk. He tucked his hand behind my neck. I transfixed, my eyes wide, like a deer caught in headlights, as he pulled me into a deep kiss. I feel an odd shiver run through me, and strange muscles deep in my belly clench suddenly.

When my sober mind woke me from his spell, I quickly pushed his chest with my hands. "Why did you kiss me?! My first kiss! You just took my first kiss!" The words left my mouth without me realizing it. I really want to cry now. I can't believe I gave my first kiss to a man I just met.

His eyes flare momentarily in surprise. "This is your first kiss?" he asked, chuckling again.

My eyes opened wide, as I could hardly believe what I just heard. "You- you can talk?! You're not blind, you can hear. Why didn't you tell me that?!"

A hint of a teasing smile played on his lips. "Why didn't you ask me that?" he asked me back, taking his cellphone from my hand. He made me feel like an idiot.

I starting to puff like a giant toad. "I thought you were a good man, but I was wrong. You bastard! I shouldn't feel pity for you!"

Another chuckle left his mouth. He leaned closer to me. Fear suddenly took over me as he looked into my eyes with his deep gaze. "You shouldn't feel pity for strangers. Never trust others easily. If you meet a bad person, he will take advantage of you, use you. Your kindness will kill you. I kiss you, so that you remember what I said." His voice was as deep as his gaze. I could see the anger, the sadness in his eyes.

He gave me his gentle smile. I think it's to cover up how he feels. I struggled to calm my rapid heartbeat as he pulled himself from me.

As I heard hurried footsteps coming our way, I looked ahead. An old man with a gray hair wearing a black suit stopped in his tracks, standing in front of us. He looks kind, clean, and tidy.

"Young master, your private jet has been repaired. We can fly now."

I furrowed my brows in curiosity upon hearing the old man's words. Young master? Private jet? Why did he say that?

The bastard who had taken my first kiss sighed in annoyance. "Why are they taking so long?! I even fell asleep here!" he said, getting up from his seat and the old man just smiled like he was used to his young master's behavior.

He went along with the old man without saying anything to me, like I didn't exist. I became a statue with my donkey face. I feel like a stupid ass right now. Now I know the reason why he was wearing sunglasses, and he didn't take his phone when it fell on the floor. He's not blind, he's not deaf, he's sleeping!!!

My cheeks puffed out as my face turned red, my palms clenched. Thinking of that bastard makes me want to explode. I hate him so much and would never want to see him again.

After eight and a half hours on the flight, I finally arrived in New York. As soon as I get off the plane, I leave the airport by bus to go back to my house.

When the bus stopped at the bus stop, I quickly got off the bus with my suitcase in my hands. In quick steps, I walked towards my sweet home, as I couldn't wait to hug my grandma in my arms.

"Grandma! I'm home!" I said as I opened the door. The smile on my face instantly disappeared seeing my grandma's sad face. She was sitting on the couch in the living room, looking at me.

I sat next to her, holding her hand. "What happened? Why do you look sad?" I asked into her eyes. Sadness, curiosity, worry took over me.

She sighed helplessly. "Our neighbors, they tell me they are going to sell their house to the KINGSTON company."

I feel like I hear thunder in the daylight. "But- why?! Didn't they say they weren't going to sell their house and why are they changing their minds now?!"

"They were willing to pay double to buy their house. That's why they changed their minds."

Tears filled my eyes as I clenched my fists. I can't lose our house, our bakery that has been in our family for generations. It breaks my heart to see this house torn down. I'm not letting that damn company build their hotel here!

I stood up from the couch, breathing in anger.

"Evelyn, where are you going?" my grandma asked worriedly.

"I'll go to our neighbors and ask them not to sell their house. I'll do whatever it takes to save our house." In quick steps, I walked out of my house to David's house.

I banged on the door. "David! Open this door now! I want to talk to you!"

It didn't take long before the door opened. "Why did you change your mind?! You promised me! You would not sell your house. This is your family home for generations. How can you let them turn this to dust?!"

David sighed helplessly. "Evelyn, let's talk inside." He walked in and I followed behind. We both sat on the couch in the living room.

"Please ... David. Please, don't sell your house. I'm begging you." I held his arm, begging into his eyes.

"I don't want to sell this house, but I have no choice. The other neighbors have agreed to sell theirs. There is nothing we can do now."

"No! There must be something we can do! I will never let them take my home from me!"

I furrowed my brows in thought while suppressing my anger. Think Evelyn! Think! I ordered my brain.

As I found a good plan, I got a smile on my face. "I have a good plan!" I said excitedly into David’s eyes. "Don't sell our houses. Our houses are in the center of this land. Even if they buy their houses, they can't build the damn hotel here."

He shook his head. "No. We shouldn't do that."

Curiosity overtook me seeing the fear in his eyes. "But- why?"

He stared seriously into my eyes. "You don't know who Xavier Kingston is. My friend is an employee who works at his company. He warned me not to mess with him if I don't want to suffer at his hands. My friend also told me he is not only evil but also brilliant. With the wealth and power he has, he will easily get everything he wants."

I fell silent, staring at him, as I can't deny I'm feeling scared right now.

David took the magazine from the table in front of us and showed me the photo inside the magazine. "He is the man I told you about. He looks like a gentle, handsome man, right? No one will think he is the devil behind his handsome face."

I could hardly believe my eyes. Fear and anger gripped me at the same time. The owner of the biggest company in town is that bastard who took my first kiss.
