I make my way the kitchen as quite as I can don't want to wake up June my foster mom or the boys worse Reign. I would not want to deal with him at this present moment.

Of Years ago I was on the street a emancipated kid as I am about to open the fridge I hear footsteps and low voices.

"You fucken Killed Him Reign , Matt said to beat him up" a guy I don't know says as he walks up and down.

"Shut up about that " Reign says as it's none of my business I decide to go back upstairs when I kick the kitchen bin making noise as Reign comes running to the Kitchen "Well well If it isn't the stray snooping at night" I have to mention I am scared to death of Reign. He's not just a bully that will put gum on your hair simple things like that no Reign will pull your hair out of your follicles or push hard until you fall he has hurt me before.

I stumble through my words "I just came down for water I swear I was not snooping "before I get a chance to go back he grabs by my hair pinning me to wall"what did you hear Stray" he pulls hard as his other hand makes its way to my neck squeezing hard. I try to pry his hand

On my neck but he pulls my hair more hard pain shoots through me as I scream.

"Sssh you don't want to wake everybody now"amusement in his voice as he likes this.

Then at me drags his eyes from my toes to my face.

That's when it hits me I am wearing only my pjs a short ,short and a very tight crop top." You have grown stray" he says in a full blown smile which creeps me out as he never smiles.

He moves his pale hands away from me that's when I hold my neck and cough "he comes down to my height

And whispers "we not done here " He walks away from me that's when I realised he's wet but not from the snow he's wet from

Blood.

I bring my knees to my face counting to 5 as the therapist said, count to five before I have a full on panic attack.I hear footsteps coming in a Kitchen I stand quickly thinking it's Reign.

It's Marcus he knows I have panic attacks now and then he's gentle with me.

"Jas let's go to bed what are you doing down here ?" I don't answer him looking down "Nightmares again?" This time I look at him take his extended hand and let him lead me to my room I don't say word, I won't say word. " it's freezing you should be in bed " I still don't say anything.

You know what come sleep in my room in my bed I will just hold you , whenever you have a nightmare you know Joan won't mind " I look at him my eyes glassy "okay I whisper " although he recently got the room all to himself he used to share it with Reign I am sure he would have smothered me to death if he was still sleeping there.

He moved to the Basement which is dark and cold I am sure he likes it like that Satan. I walk with Marcus as he holds my hand his smile so warm my insides tingle. He tucks me in the bed and holds me to his chest I sleep. Minutes later Reign walks in Nothing but a towel I move deeper to Marcus Chest.

Marcus holds up his head "Hey Man you sleeping here tonight " Yes heater is gone again freezing down there but I see you have company " he pins me with a nasty stare , what did I ever do this guy he only knew me 2 years ago.

"Yeah Jass can't sleep she's so she will sleep me here " Thank God he didn't tell him about my nightmares. I turn to face the other way to look at Marcus his brown eyes hold my stare as he kisses my Forehead I just melt and bury my face in his chest before I know it I am fast alseep.

I hear Reign mumbling under his breath before he switches his lamp of the quiet night settles in and I just feel safe in Marcus's arms.
