Chapter 1 The Day I Met Him

Vivian POV:

"No! I'm not going there! That's your blind date, not mine!" I said, trying to pull my hand away from Molly's. This 20-year-old girl with short black hair and big brown eyes is my best friend.

"Please ... Vivian ... Please ... help me just this once," she pleaded with me, showing me her puppy face that was about to cry. "Eric told me last night he loves me! And he wants us to go on a date tonight! You know I've had a crush on him since we were in elementary school. He'll be mad at me if he finds out I'm on a blind date. We'll break up before we even date," she said and cried like a child who lost her favorite toy.

I sighed helplessly. "Fine! I will help you!" The words finally left my mouth.

Her cry suddenly turned into a happy, relieved smile. "Oh gosh! Thank you so much! You are my savior! I love you so much!" she said gratefully. As she hugged me tightly, I struggled to get my breath.

I let go of her hug, looking seriously into her eyes. "I just need to go out there pretending to be you and tell him I don't like him and we don't need to see each other again, right?" I repeated what she had told me.

She nodded to me. "You just have to tell him that. Get out of that place and everything settled," she said and smiled widely at me.

Now it was my turn to plead with her with my puppy face that was about to cry. "Can I not go? Please ..."

"I have to go with my aunt now! She is waiting for me!" she said in a fast tone as she put his hands on my shoulders, then she showed me her clenched fist. "Fighting! You can do it!" she said, smiled and left me before I could blink.

I sighed helplessly again. I love her, that's why I want to help her. She is not only my best friend, but she is like my sister. I don't know how to live my life without her and her aunt.

Her aunt named Clara Brown adopted me when I was 6 years old. I'm 20 now. Aunt Clara loved me as much as she loved Molly, and I was so happy living with them. We have a little cafe downstairs and we live upstairs. This house is not big, but it is a heaven for me.

When I parked Aunt Clara's VW Bug in the parking lot of a restaurant, I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. The restaurant was a fancy one I would never go to on my own. "Vivian! You can do it!" I give myself encouragement.

I then unbuckled my seat belt and got out of the car. As a doorman opened the double glass doors and I walked in, everyone in the restaurant gave me weird looks. I smiled gremlin inside because my plan to look weird worked.

I came here wearing a long black dress belonging to Aunt Clara's mom and wearing thick glasses. I tied up my long blonde hair in a ponytail. My appearance looked like a granny.

"Good evening," the hostess greeted me with a pleasant smile on her face. "Is there anything I can help you?" she asked politely.

"Dick Long's table please," I replied without breaking into laughter. I can't figure out why his parents named him that.

"Please follow me," the hostess said as she suppressed her smile. Then she led me through the crowded restaurant. "Here you go," she said as we stopped at a table. "Your waiter will be by in a moment to get your drink order," she said before she left.

When the man who was sitting on the dining chair before me looked up at me, I suddenly couldn't blink, my heart pounding, struck by his handsome face, his bright blue eyes. His dark hair was neatly styled. His body looks perfect in a fine gray suit, white shirt, and gray tie. He was gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. I'm sure Molly would forget about Eric and crush on this man if she saw him.

As I heard him chuckle, I blinked my eyes in, startled. He laughed at my appearance with curiosity filling his eyes. When he got to his feet to shake my hand, I realized he was very tall.

"Nice to meet you," he said. His voice is warm, possibly amused, but it's difficult to tell from his impassive expression.

I place my hand in his, and we shake. As our fingers touch, I feel an odd, exhilarating shiver run through me. I withdraw my hand hastily. My cheeks heat up at the sight of a small smile crossing his lips. His devilish shining eyes told me he enjoyed seeing my embarrassment, my nervousness.

'Ugh! Vivian! What's wrong with you?!' I scold myself. I remind myself what I'm here for. I quickly sat down on the chair across from his chair before he told me to. He chuckled at my behavior before he sat down in his chair.

"I came here to tell you I don't like you and we don't need to see each other again," I said directly, sternly which made the two beauties, who were sitting on the dining chairs next to our table, almost drop their jaws.

I left him speechless by saying that. With his good looks, this must be his first time being rejected by a girl.

"Then I will leave now. Please enjoy your dinner. Goodbye Mr. Dick Long," I said, suppressing my smile.

"Wait!" he said as I was about to stand up, making me look back into his eyes. "What did you just call me?" he asked with his brows furrowed in confusion.

I too furrowed my brows in confusion. The hostess who had brought me here suddenly stood near us with an apologetic face. "Miss, I'm so sorry. I brought you to the wrong table," she said in a panic. "This is not Mr. Dick Long's table. He is waiting for you there!" she said as she pointed to the man sitting at the table behind ours. The man's face really lives up to his name. I'm a pervert. I can read it on his face.

"Please follow me now. I will lead you to him," the hostess said.

I quickly shook my head briskly. "No! You don't have to. I have to go now!" I said in a quick tone. After getting up from my seat, I left the table like a chicken without a head. I could hear the handsome man laughing, which made my cheeks burn even more.

While I was in the bathroom, I washed my face to calm myself, then I looked at my face in the mirror in front of me. I can't believe this embarrassing thing happened to me.

When I remember that handsome man, my heart is pounding again. No man has ever affected me the way he has, and I cannot fathom why. Just thinking of him, the strange muscles deep in my belly clench suddenly.

I glanced at the door as it opened. My heart was beating fast like a drum that was hit fast and hard, the butterflies in my belly were flying wildly seeing the man I'm thinking about walking in and lock the door.

"Wh-what are you doing here? Why did you lock the door?" I asked nervously.

A devilish smile crossed his lips. His domineering eyes gripped mine, paralyzing my body. He walked over, standing before me. I gasped as he pulled me closer to him. Our faces are close. His lips are only inches away from mine. I can smell his minty breath and the sweet smell of his cologne against my nose.

"You have attracted me to you. Tell me, how much do you want to be paid? I want to fuck you now," he said in a raspy voice. I couldn't believe what I just heard. How could he say those words like I was his sex toy?

He tucked his hand behind my neck. Before I could blink, he pulled me into a hungry kiss.
