Chapter 1 LOCKED UP.

CHAPTER 1: LOCKED UP.

Vanessa stormed into the dimly lit and cramped up room, huffing and puffing. She rushed furiously towards the bed, raising her right leg, she kicked Damon, who was cocooned in the blankets, snoring loudly. She kicked with so much force and anger, Damon fell to the ground, on his butt.

"What was that for?" Damon asked timidly, not daring to raise his voice. He rubbed his butt with his face scrunched up in pain. "Shut up." Vanessa shouted furiously, making Damon flinch slightly. "Did you take the apple juice I made?" Vanessa asked, waiting for the answer she knew already.

She was already thinking on how she was going to deal with him, real hard. Damon opened his mouth to talk, but he couldn't form any words, he was guilty. Knowing taking the apple juice had consequences but he couldn't resist the temptation when he saw it in the fridge.

He had always loved apple juice since he was little. "You took it, right?" Vanessa smiled wickedly, wicked thoughts running through her head. "But I didn't take it all." Damon tried to defend himself, but his meek and timid voice betrayed him, it sounded weak, since he eaten that day.

"That apple juice wasn't for a scum like you." Vanessa said with an angry face, "You didn't take it all, you say?" Vanessa couldn't believe his guts. She hated him to the bones. He only had an handsome face and nothing else, she couldn't believe she agreed to marry him.

Vanessa was initially attracted to Damon, because of his face, thinking that it wasn't bad that she was to marry him, because her family needed money at that time. But she regrets her decision now, after realizing that he is a fool. He couldn't even muster courage to touch her.

Vanessa met his foster brother afterwards, and her mouth watered at the sight she saw. He was everything that Damon wasn't. "Your family is visiting today and I made that apple juice personally for them." Vanessa continued to shout at him, rudely, even though the apple juice was for Vintage.

She couldn't say that out to him. Damon's eyes widened in surprise and horror when he heard about his family's coming. He thought he had finally escaped from them, he thought he had left their wicked clutches. He had only been married for a month, and they are here already.

'Why were they coming?' He asked himself, completely ignoring Vanessa who was still shouting angrily. He felt a cold shiver down his spine, his foster family was a nightmare to him. He was grateful that they had brought him up and paid all his bills since he was a child.

He couldn't stand their constant bullying and scorn towards him, especially from his foster brother.Damon was suddenly pushed forward, he hit his head on the bed's headboard. Damon winced in pain, he touched his head and felt a warm liquid on his head. He was bleeding, his eyes widened slightly.

He turned to see Vanessa behind him. She has pushed him, but why?. "You dare to ignore me? Scum." Vanessa snarled at him, making Damon cower in fear. He had been a victim of constant bullying and abuse and he knew when someone hated him, just like Vanessa hates him.

He couldn't stand up for himself, his self-esteem and confidence were non-existent. He just wanted to live with his wife, and love her, hoping to be loved in return but he couldn't see that happening now. Vanessa grinned wickedly, when she noticed that he was bleeding, his blood, excited her.

"You are not allowed to treat that." She declared, "Now go downstairs, there is a lot of work waiting for you." Vanessa said finally, glaring at him, wickedly. She walked towards the door, shaking her hips seductively, she wasn't trying to seduce Damon, but she was naturally seductive and sultry.

"Two minutes. I want to see you downstairs." She said seriously, before opening the door and walking out, banging the door, loudly. Damon slumped to the cold floor, his face paled due to fear. 'What did I get into?' He thought. He thought he would be free after getting married.

He thought marriage was a fairy tale, but he only jumped from one hell to another hell. His life with his foster family, flashed before his eyes. He had just got back from school, happily walking inside the house, wanting to show his excellent result, to his foster parents.

He had come out top in his class, he hadn't seen Vintage after school, he didn't know about his result. "Dad, mum, how are you?" Damon rushed into the large living room, happily skipping towards them. He proudly brought out his result, and showed it to them, proudly and happily.

At least waiting for a pat on the head. But he got something different, his smile slowly vanished from his face, when he saw the blackened face of his foster mother and the expressionless face of his foster father. His foster mother raised her leg, kicked him on his calf.

Damon fell to the ground. His eyes widened in shock. "What's wrong mum?" He asked, he was shocked and surprised at her actions. "Go into your room and don't come out, until I tell you to." Mrs Shawn ordered. Damon stood up to his feet and scurried towards his room.

He met Vintage on the way, he tried to talk to him but he cowered in fear, when he saw the hate directed towards him. He ran to his room, sadly and locked the door behind him. Vintage walked, numbly, towards his parents in the living room, his head hung low.

The just concluded session's results, will determine who will go on an educational trip to Paris. He had read hard, past his limits, he wanted to go to Paris and visit the Eiffel tower, but Damon had snatched that chance from him and he had come second to 'timid' Damon.

"Is he going to Paris?" Mr Shawn asked his son. He had bragged to his friends that his brilliant son would be visiting Paris, soon. Seeing how his son read really hard. They were just a middle class family, and his son going to Paris was something to brag about.

"Yes dad." Vintage said in a low voice, his head hung low. He wished Damon could just drop dead and he would take the opportunity. The trip to Paris was in a week's time, he wished he could do something fast, but he didn't know what to do, at all.

"What if he doesn't show up?" Mrs Shawn asked suddenly, she had a wicked thought in her head. Vintage's eyes widened, 'How come I didn't think of that?' He thought to himself. "That could work, mum." He said, trying to hide his excitement. "When is the trip?" Mrs Shawn asked.

"In a week's time." Vintage replied hurriedly. He was extremely joyful in his heart. "Go back to your room." Mr Shawn ordered. Vintage walked out of the living room, to his room. He passed by Damon's door and glared at it, wanting to go inside and strangle him to death.

Back in the living room, Mr Shawn, turned towards his wife, "What do you think you're doing?" He asked sternly, he wanted his son to go to Paris, but not at the expense of someone else. "I'm doing this for our son, relax. He should be grateful, we fed him."

"We clothed him, he should be able to give up his chance to go to Paris." Mrs Shawn said cunningly. Mr Shawn scrunched his eyebrows at his wicked wife, he was considering what she said. It wasn't like they cheated him, he should pay back, what they had given him.

"So what do you want to do?" Mr Shawn asked his wife, finally consenting to his wife's words and actions. "We will lock him up, he wouldn't be able to sneak out." Mrs Shawn said, wickedly. Mr Shawn shook his head at his wife's words.

He didn't know his wife was this wicked and cunning. He decided to just watch the show. Both of them couldn't see Damon who was behind the huge kitchen door, watching them and listening to their words. He had come out of his room, not long after he entered, following after Vintage.

Before he could summon the courage to beg them and tell them he was going to Paris, he heard their conversation. He quickly hid behind the door to the kitchen, listening attentively. He slumped to the ground, when everyone had quietened down. He walked back to his room.

Damon decided that he would pay back everything he owed, not knowing he would still continue to pay. He was locked up in his room for a week. He was fed once in two days, in order to weaken him, so that he wouldn't have the energy to sneak out.

When he came out after a week's time, he was a shadow of his cheerful self, not daring to look at his foster parents. He was told, that Vintage had gone to Paris in his stead, since they told his homeroom teacher that he was sick and wouldn't be available.
