Chapter 1 Episode One - News

Lisa's POV

With his one hand still planted on the window, he suddenly grabbed my waist with the other hand.

My hand instinctively flew to his chest to push him away. "Felix what are you doing in my room?. What if someone sees you h.." His lip crashed into mine before I could complete the sentence.

As I pushed harder against his hard chest, his arm tightened more around my waist while his other one moved to hold the base of my head.

His lip were soft and he kissed me with urgency. My body pathetically gave up the fight and started to melt into his. I could feel him smile with satisfaction against my lips before he went back to kissing me.

My hands moved up his chest and wrapped around his neck. I moaned softly. I never knew that I have missed him this much. My body seemed to want more as my arms pulled tighter and I stood on tip toes to get closer to him if that were possible.

Just then, we heard a knock on the door. Felix pulled back as I quickly opened my eyes, breathing heavily. "I told you that someone might come in, what are we going to do now?" I whispered.

The knock came again. " Quickly, hide somewhere I will go and check who it is" I advised. I cleared my throat and walked to the door, hoping it's not my mum or I will be dead.

I pushed open the door to behold Jessica, our house keeper. "Hi. Jesse" I chuckled.

"Hi. Your mum wants you downstairs now"

I felt my heart missed a beat, could it be that mum saw Felix when he was climbing up the wall to my room?. I shook off the scary thought and nooded positively. Jessica gave me a warm smile before walking away.

I shut the door and hurried to where I left Felix but he wasn't there. I looked at the window, it was opened. He was gone without even saying a goodbye. I sighed disappointedly and made to leave when my eyes fell on a white envelope on my bedside table.

Filled with curiosity, I picked up the envelope and on it was inscribed "A letter for my love, Lisa" . My cheek turned pink as I recited the sentence again. I sat down on the bed as I reminsced on all my memories with Felix. He is the first man I fell in love with and is the only person that has truly loved me for who I am.

"Lisa" My dad yelled, bringing me out of my thoughts. Oh my gosh! I almost forgot that they were waiting for me downstairs. I quickly pushed the letter under my pillow and hurried downstairs.

Mum was seated on the couch while dad trodded tro and fro the large foyer. As soon as they heard some approaching footsteps, they turned to me.

"What took you so long?" Dad growled. I swallowed hard as I thought of a better reply. Mum hurried over to where I stood and slowly dragged me to the couch.

"Sit down here" She gestured. I nooded and sat down sheepishly. I don't know what it is but I had a bad feeling about whatever I was about to hear. For a moment, the foyer went quiet as mum and dad exchanged glances. Probably, waiting for the other person to speak up first.

Dad was the first to talk, he cleared his throat as he turned to me wearing a serious look. "Lisa, I don't know how you would see this but we're happy to announce to you that we've found a perfect match for you."

I raised my eyebrows in disbelief. " Huh?"

" You'll be getting engaged and married to Andrew Morris in the next three days" Dad repeated.

I blinked my eyes as I let out a loud laugh. I know they are trying to be funny but I find this joke to be a very expensive one. I stopped laughing when I noticed that they were still wearing a serious face.

" Mum?" I called out, maybe expecting her to tell me that my dad was just pulling my legs.

She stood up from her seat and sat down beside me on the couch. "Look darling, I know it's too sudden and unexpected but it's for your own good. Andrew is a good man and I'm sure he will take care of you. Moreover, he is from a rich family and will be a good help to our company" She took my hand in hers as she softly spoke.

I snatched away my hand from hers as I stood to my feet. " What are you guys even saying? That I should get married to a stranger whom I don't even know because you want him to help you out with your company?" I repeated, trying to make sure that my ears weren't playing games with me.

" Something like that" Dad shrugged.

I let out a sarcastic laugh. "Okay, I will just walk back to my room right now and act like this never happened" I forced a smile and turned to leave but dad stopped me.

" How dare you try to turn your back on us now that we need you?" Dad growled, making me flinch. " Let me remind you in case you have forgotten that, I and my family picked you up from the trenches and took care of you when your family abandoned you. We adopted you and gave you a name."

" George" Mum muttered.

" No. Don't try to stop me this time." Dad warned and turned to me again. " My company is about folding up, I have lost all my investors and the only way to recover from this mess is your marriage to Andrew. This is your opportunity to pay back the favor and you will willingly do it or I won't hesitate to make your life miserable." Dad said through gritted teeth.

" Hana, make her understand" He added before walking away.

An invisible knife immediately stabbed my heart and twisted it. I gasped at the pain as my hand gripped my chest tightly. I froze, my feet rooted to the spot as the long forgotten memories came rushing in like a flood. I didn't know how long I stood there, maybe 10 seconds, 10 minutes. It took some time for me to find my voice.

"Mum" I whispered. She walked up to me. "I.. I.. don't want to get married to him"
