We were shriek with laughter as Bob entertained us with rib cracking jokes
"Seriously I get fed up with girls like that" Bob said, still making some of us laugh.I opened my locker and took my biology textbook, we were going to have a morning test tomorrow. I needed something to read.
"Enough of these jokes, we have a test tomorrow" I said to my friends who were standing beside my locker.
"I'm relying on you Violet. I still don't understand Biology" Ella said to me and some of us laughed.
"Crazy girl" I said and dragged her pig tailed hair jokingly.
"Hey!" I heard a deep baritone voice which was annoyingly sweet. I immediately recognized the voice. I turned to him with a disgusting look. Some of my friends were sniggering already. It made me angrier.
"Are you ready?" he asked me.
"What if I text you the area of concentration for you to read tonight?" I turn back to Ella snubbing him.
"Area of confusion you mean? I still don't understand Biology Violet" Ella said
"But you can..." I wanted to talk but Ella cut in again
"See you tomorrow Violet, Lets go guys" and she left along with my other friends who waved a goodbye in unison to me. One could tell they only wanted me to be alone with the person talking to me but the fact was that I didn't want to.
"You're ready?" he asked me again.
Pissed, I yelled "What do you want!". It definitely got a little attention from others.
"I-just.." he stammered trying to keep his cool.
"I know the way!" I shouted at him and barged out of the school hallway. I could feel him following me but a few distance far from me .Few people waved to me but I didn't bother to reply. I felt irritated, the fact that he has to come to my school everyday annoys me. I came to a stop where a convertible car was parked, I was not surprised at the glares I had today too, the car was the talk of the school, it was the latest model and nobody was rich enough to afford it in school, even our lecturers, but everything about that car pisses me off.
I waited beside the car for the person I've been running from all this while. He turned to the other end of the car, and pushed the key in. I opened my side of the door and hopped in with annoyance. In 45 seconds, he drove out of the school premises.
Soft music played as silence dwelt in the car.
"How was school today?" He asked and looked at me.
"Barry I-don't-want-to-talk!" I said spelling out my words.
"I just..." He started talking again and I increased the volume of the song in the car to the highest that I couldn't hear anything he was saying.I looked out the window and sighed. This was just my life.
Barry is my husband and of course I'm his wife. Don't be too surprised, it was not my decision nor was his. It happened because it had to happen.
Matchmaking by our parents.
The most annoying thing is the age difference between Barry and I. He is a successful 27year old accountant and I'm a 17year old student at college
Perfect match right?

He drove into the driveway of the duplex we lived in. He got down to open the garage door and I hopped out instantly. I moved to the front door, took my personal key from the bag and opened the door.
Why he had to pick me from school every time still annoys me.
I entered the living room, I threw my shoulder bag on the couch and made my way to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and took some lemonade and gulped it down my throat. I sat down on the stool nearby and laid my head on the breakfast bar.
This was child abuse. I have never thought I would end up like this, married at this stage...to an uncle? I scratched my chignon hair and I heard the door of the living room close.
Barry was in
"You have a call," Barry shouted from the living room. I stood up and left the kitchen with a frown on my face."Here" he said and gave me his phone.
"Yes mum" I answered the phone after checking the caller ID. Not that I expected someone else to call from his phone.
"How are you doing, Violet?" my mum said.
I am doing bad, mum, everything is driving me crazy!
"I'm awesome" I answered her, shrugging my thoughts off, she wasn't someone I would dare say that to. "Why didn't you call my phone instead?" I asked her. The whole Barry to me conversation really sucked.
"Your phone was switched off" she said and I moved towards where I had thrown my bag the other time, opened it and brought my phone.
"Oh I forgot it was off" I murmured the words.
"Barry told me a lot about how you take good care of him" My mother happily said and I looked at Barry raising my brows at him.
"Really? Did he?" Well he had better!
"Yes and I'm very impressed you're doing well in your marriage. I'll give you a biggy of kudos!"
"Awwn I should blush to that" I said to my mum and smiled. Then my eyes met with Barry and I gave him a deep frown. It was a mood switch for me. Haha.
"Just keep respecting and honouring him" my mum said. Not me mum, not me.
"Sure mum, trust me" I said to her and locked my eyes with Barry, my eyes told him how angry I was.
"Give the phone to Barry" my mum again.
"He's in the kitchen," I lied.
"Kitchen? Aren't you supposed to be there instead" she shouted and I regretted why I lied in the first place.
"Oh come on mum. Couples help each other. That's the fun in marriage don't you get. He's only there to assist me" I lied again and Barry shook his head continuously with a hidden smile about to cross his lips.
"Anyway give him the phone" my mum hesitated
"Sure. Barry! Barry love.." I shouted like I was calling him from a distance. The fool was just right in front of me.
"Coming Violet" he answered playing along. Maybe he was smart enough to catch that ,or he just didn't want my wrath later.
"Mum wants to talk to you" I handed the phone to him keeping my stern face
"Yes mum" he answered the phone. He's just fond of calling my mum his mum. Dude would you stop!
"No she doesn't disturb me in any way" he said again and I pushed my lips to the corner of my mouth to mimic his words silently in an annoying way. "Alright ,okay, bye" He ended the call and took a look at me, then dropped his phone on the center table. I walked away from him and went to sit by the couch. I switched on my phone and brought out my biology textbook.
"Violet!" He called and his voice made me remember how he said "you're ready" in school today with my friends.
Sweet..no..bad
"Can you get us something to eat?" He said and I laughed. I laughed so hysterically that it annoyed every single cell in him. I was used to it already. It was my way of pissing him off. Laughing when he says something serious.
"But I am not hungry," I said, still laughing. Even if I was.
"Okay can you get me something to eat then?" he asked. I closed my book with force and stood up like I wanted to charge at him.
"You sure know the way to the kitchen hun?" I asked with a stern look
"Yes.." he answered.
"Then use it!" I shouted at him. He was silent for some while. Sure! He should be. He had to gulp in what I said and get reminded every time never to ask that again.
"Okay, should I make something for you?" he said, heading towards the kitchen. Gosh I hate when he's so caring. It annoys me.
"You heard me right Barry"
He entered the other kitchen and hit my biology textbook on my head countless times. I'm fed up with this marriage! My phone rang beside me and I picked it up.
Ella!
"Hey what's up?" she shouted from the phone, piercing my ear with her voice.
"Keep your voice low," I said softly.
"Violet are you there? I can't hear you" she shouted again.
"I said keep your voice low!" I said, louder than before.
"Oh am I shouting?" she said and giggled by herself.
"Where are you?" I asked her, the muffling sounds around weren't pleasant.
"On my way home, I just wanted to call you and ask if you were home too"
Another thing I hate about my marriage! Normally I would always walk with my friends home. But now? With a car. I mean a car is cool but with a boring person?
"Of course I'm home" I say silently.
"Okay, is uncle Barry there with you?" she asked. I hate when they call him uncle Barry, they were just being sarcastic.
"Why should he be here with me?" I shouted in my lungs angrily and I heard roars of laughter along with Ella's.
"Who else is with you" I growled at her
"I'm not with anybody. Violet bye" she said still laughing and hung up immediately. I knew she was with my other friends and they were talking about me.. probably making fun of me! That really sucked mum! It sucks!
Everything is just so wack

"Christ!" I whispered in pain late at night. My tummy hurts. I have been so stubborn not to eat the food Barry prepared for me and I've been so stupid not to make my own dinner, cause I was stuck up with reading and I have been so senseless to have taken left over pizza as my dinner.
Now it hurts so much.
I put on the lamp stand beside my bed and sighed. Maybe if I take some water it will get better. I wore my slippers and walked to the kitchen holding my grumpy tummy. I switched on the kitchen lights and moved to the fridge, I grabbed some bottled water and gulped a little, then my eyes went to the pot on the kitchen table close by.
I took my eyes off it. I must not be tempted!
My gaze went to the pot again. When Barry was eating earlier, the aroma of the pasta enticed me but I refused to fall for it. He might not even be a good cook. I stood and stared at the pot again. I dropped the water I was drinking on the breakfast bar and looked around.
Is anyone watching?
I took a step,then another and I stopped.
No never, I'll never eat Barry's food
I turned to leave the kitchen and I found myself reverse back to open the pot. Damn I gave in to his pasta temptation.
'Hmmmn' The aroma spread out into my nose and filled the kitchen again. Barry was a good cook, it seemed like it. I suddenly started smiling at the thought of eating this damsel right in front of me.
"Fork fork fork" I murmured to myself looking for the fork
When I saw it, I grabbed it and dug it into the pot, brought out the spaghetti and pushed it into my mouth.
Yummy!
I ate happily, I hadn't expected the food to get my attention and even my comment. I took another and into my mouth it entered without any obstruction ,then another big spoonful into my mouth before I heard..
"Tasty hun?"

"You're mine, little puppy," Kylan growled against my neck. A soft gasp escaped my lips as his lips brushed my skin. My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
"Ethan, this is unethical. It's criminal. She hasn't consented." Those chilling words, whispered in the sterile hum of an operating room, were the first thing I heard as consciousness flickered back. My heart pounded, cold dread snaking through my veins. Dr. Ben Carter, Ethan's old friend, was arguing with him. "She's my girlfriend, Ben. Practically my wife," Ethan scoffed, his voice laced with a terrifying casualness. "Chloe needs this kidney. Ava is a perfect match." Kidney. Chloe. My blood ran cold. The beautiful, fragile Chloe Vahn, who had always haunted our relationship, was now taking a piece of me, quite literally. I tried to scream, to move, but my body felt like lead, my throat raw. I felt a sharp tug, a searing line of fire on my side-the scalpel. Ten years of love, of sacrifice, building Ethan Reed and his company back from nothing, all for this. To be carved up like an animal for the woman he truly loved. When I finally regained full awareness, Ethan was by my bedside, a practiced look of concern on his face, spinning a lie about a ruptured ovarian cyst. But then, the overheard nurse's whispered conversation confirmed my nightmare: "Chloe's kidney transplant... he barely left her side." The pieces slammed into place. My despair solidified into a cold, hard resolve. No more. I grabbed my phone, scrolling to one contact I hadn't dared to call. Noah Hayes, Ethan's rival, a man of integrity. My finger trembled as I typed. "Noah," I managed, my voice raspy. "Are you still looking for a COO who knows Reed Innovate's strategies... and perhaps, a wife?" The silence stretched, then his voice, calm and serious, cut through the noise of my crumbling world. "My jet, seven days. LaGuardia."
