Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION

September 2016

"Mom, I can't make it today, I got a lot to do after school." I reasoned with my mom as she gave me more reasons on why I should go for the check up.

"Baby You have to, that's the only way my mind can be put at ease." She exclaimed shakingly as her eyes got glossy.

"Ok Fine, I'll go, just don't cry." I sighed as I took my bag, trudging out the door.

"Love you honey." My mom screamed from inside.

"I know." I mumbled, rolling my eyes as I got into my Bentley.

I arrived at school quite late as I rushed down the hallway to my locker. I quickly opened the locker dumping my bag and other unnecessary things inside not forgetting to take out the needed things. I practically ran to class as I burst open the door to my class.

"Here comes Kim Kardashian." My best friend hollered.

Ashton Hart.

He was a troublemaker, a loud and wild one at that. He partied like he was gonna die tomorrow, went from one chick to another, was sweet when he wanted to, but lacked seriousness in everything he did.

We did be friends for as long as I can remember, met him at a house party his family organised, we were known as the richest kids in class, and we stuck like thieves.

"Shut up ash." I mumbled as I apologised to my teacher, reaching an empty space and flopping down on it.

"You look beautiful Kim." Ryan, A shy kid who sat close to me said with a smile.

"Thanks Ryan." I smiled back.

Ryan was quite cute, but he had a girlfriend. I don't blame him though, he's had a crush on me since 6th grade, but my so called best friend decided to scare him away, leaving him with no other option but to look for someone who has the same personality as him.

Shy.

Without a crazy bestie.

"We are using the periodic table." He whispered as the teacher wrote somethings on the board.

"Oh, thanks." I mumbled as I quickly brought out a jotter where I drew my periodic table.

My chemistry teacher, miss Lillian was the youngest female teacher in my school, and she seems to be Ashton's newest chase at the moment.

"Is this some classes of food or what?" Ashton exclaimed from my back making the class rumble in laughter.

"I still think of scenarios of how you got to this stage." The teacher fired back, sending the student into funny expressions.

"Oh miss Lillian, how I love that fiesty look." He smirked.

"Disgusting." I hear her mumble as she turns back to the board.

"Hey... hey, I'm talking to You." He said as he used his pencil to nudge my back.

"What is it Ashton?" I whispered as I turned back slightly.

"I don't have a table." He smiled.

"You obviously have one." I responded confused as to what he was saying.

"I mean the one you guys are using, how y'all call it? Period table? I dunno." He said loudly causing Miss Lillian to glare at him.

"It's called periodic table and I think I've got my old one with me." I answered searching through my notes. "Its quite blurry now because I drew it with pencil but do you have a choice?" I snickered throwing the note at him.

"Bitch." I hear him whisper but I refuse to get distracted by someone whose parents doesn't give a damn about his school report.

My parents were strict and would kill me if I got anything different from distinction. They were rich but they wanted me to get everything on merit.

After me trudging from a class to another for more than three times, I got my school bag from my locker as I walked sluggishly to the cafeteria.

"Hey Kim." One of my friends, Alicia, a red head hollered.

"Heyyy." I dragged as I sat down between a blonde named Naomi and Ashton.

"Hey, I was talking to her." Ashton exclaimed.

"Well, looks like I could care less." I shot back as the blonde glared at me.

Suck it blonde, you came to school to learn.

"See you later ash." She said in a sickly sweet voice as she shaked her non-existent backside to her seat, where the cheerleaders dwell.

I've always disliked the cheerleaders, they were preppy, fake and annoying, they acted like babies and that stupid voice they use is so annoying, like the type Barbie uses.

They made my love for Barbie diminish over the years, same with my love for cat in Sam and cat.

I just came to hate that voice so much that I didn't even wanna hear it.

But my best friend, destiny, was the cheer captain, and even if I don't like them, I have to like her, because she's quite different from them even if she acts like them at times.

"Where is destiny?" I asked looking around.

"She said they had some cheergroup meeting, so she's gonna be sitting with them." Alicia replied with her mouth full.

"Then what was that thing doing here?" I questioned referring to that little shit, Naomi.

"Ask Ashton." Alicia replied as she reached for her soda.

"Well don't ask me, what am I going to say?" He scoffed.

"You brought her here." I shot back.

"It's not my fault you don't like cheerleaders, I like them, especially in..." he paused with an evil smile.

"Gosh Ashton, ewww." I said as I got him across his head.

"I forgot that was PG-18, I'm sorry baby, close your ears." He laughed trying to touch my face as I backed away.

"I'll be eighteen next year." I sighed.

"You are not even seventeen yet." He sighed in a pity way.

"F**k You." I yelled.

"Well, I don't do underage." He smiled as he muffled his laugh.

I was quite young, I was going to be seventeen, next three months, I started school earlier than a normal toddler and because I was sound in school, I managed to reach 12th grade at sixteen.

"You are so annoying, you completed eighteen last week." I said as I tried to contain my anger.

"Doesn't matter, as long as I'm eighteen." He smirked as I turned to see our other friends staring at us.

"You guys are a perfect match." Fiona, the sleeping beauty among us squealed.

She loves to sleep a lot and she was pretty. Her parents treated her like a princess.

I turned to look at Ashton to see him turn red.

"What are you blushing for?" I asked.

"Uhm." He laughed breathingly.

Idiot.
