Masked angel

Kelvin POV:

It was a bit cloudy today Monday morning. I could hear the loud chips covering up the so much noise from my dad's lips.

Dad was not himself today. He is drugged again, this! For the second time. Something is wrong with my dad!

"Just shut the fvck up!!" He stormed at me with a heavy slap on my cheek. A tear dropped from my eye and then i looked at him.

"Dad?" I called sorrowfully.

"I said shut the fvck up!!" He stormed again and I fell on the floor. I had a small cut on my knees revealing my blood.

He is drugged again. What the hell is happening to him again.

He searched the house thoroughly and then brought out a knife.

"What are you gonna do Dad?"

"Just shut your dirty mouth up and watch what I am gonna do"

"What are you gonna do Dad?!! What are you gonna do?!!!" I shouted and he chuckled.

"Just watch how I am gonna kill your mother the way chickens are being killed." He grits his teeth and I gasped.

"What?!! Dad!!!" I shouted holding his hand and he pushed me away.

"Go to hell Kelvin!!" He shouted and the knife tore my face badly. I touched where I had the sharp cut and saw blood flowing heavily from it.

He stormed into mom's room and I still followed him stubbornly behind. I was shocked with what I was seeing with my naked eyes.

Dad? Dad was slaughtering mom with the knife. Dad was... Dad was...

Suddenly, I felt my visions going blurry, then black out.

Beep, beep! Beep!!

That was the sound that filled my ears and I was forced to open my eyes.

I looked around and saw myself at the hospital lying on the bed with a big bandage on my face. It was so big that it could even fit my whole palm perfectly.

"Doctor, he is awake!!" The nurse beside me said and stood up abruptly.

What am I doing here??

I stood up and ran outside. I approached the doctor. He came to me and I moved away.

"Who are you people?? Where is mummy? Where is daddy?"

"Kid, you need rest." The doctor said and I touched my face. The bandage on my face was terrifying.

I ignored them and ran outside. I looked around and saw cars passing by. I ran into the streets and to my parents house. All I saw there was ashes. The house was burnt down to ashes and people were in it.

I looked around maybe I was dreaming but unfortunately, I was not.

I ran into the house and saw some people at the doorsteps. They were taking numerous pictures of my parents building.

"Where is Mom?" I asked one of them with tears in my eyes. "where is Daddy?" I asked again and the people looked at me like I was a ghost.

"You bastard!!!" I heard aunt's voice and moved aback.

She came to me and grabbed my hair making me fall off my feet.

"Aunty,"

"Don't aunty me Kelvin, Don't you dare! You killed your parents and then ran away from home, you murderer!!"

"No, I didn't."

The ambulance suddenly came by.

"Aunt, why is the ambulance here?"

"You killed your parents, that's what!!" She said and pushed me away.

"Mummy!!!! Daddy!!!" I shouted while struggling with Aunt. She grabbed my arm and dragged me outside.

She pushed me outside the gate making me roll off the floor.

I hit my head on the rod and the sharp edge in it cut my cheek. The same place...

I tried to open my eyes but unfortunately, my eyelids was heavy.

The rain drops filled my ears and I was forced to open my eyes.

I looked around and sat up.

The rain was falling heavily.

I just sat in a corner and covered my body with my arms. I felt shivers running down my spines and a tear fell off my left eye.

Suddenly, I saw someone's shadow. I looked beside me and saw a little girl about my age coming to me.

"Why are you in the rain? It's so cold out here." She said.

"I don't have a home to go to." I muttered, then my stomach growled.

"Hungry?" She asked and gave me the burger she was eating.

"Thanks."

She took off her blanket and covered me with it.

"This will help." She said and I smiled.

"Odette!!!" I heard a woman's voice and she gasped.

"I will have to go. My mom called for me." She said and I turned sad.

"Okay."

She waved at me and walked away.

[15 years later ...]

"Shut up and get this off my desk!!!"

"Okay sir." The secretary trembled and picked the document.

She walked away and closed the door gently. I have so many stupid staffs here.

I walked out of the office and saw the secretary going through some stuffs in her office.

"What are you doing?" I asked and she flinched again.

"Sir...I...I..."

"You...you...what?!!"

She shook her head not knowing what to say. I can't take such a dull thing as my secretary.

"You are fired." I broke the news and she looked at me.

"Sir?" She trembled.

"I don't repeat myself Elvis, you are fired!" I roared at her.

She suddenly knelt in front of me and I groaned.

"Sir please forgive me." She begged and I chuckled.

"You know I don't accept pleas...report to my table after taking your stuffs outta here."

"Sir..." She whimpered and I walked away.

The ass-manager walked up to me and bowed.

"Go get a new secretary, the older one is useless."

"Yes sir."

*A week later*

Odette's POV:

"Odette!!!" Mom called my name and I was forced to open my eyes.

"Yes Mom,"

"What is today?" She asked and I whispered a Monday. Wait a second....today is Monday. My first day at work as a secretary!!!!

I checked the time and I got alarmed, 7:05!!!! I ran to the bathroom, brushed my teeth for 2 seconds, washed my face and sprinkled water on my body.
