Forever is temporary. That's what Krystella surmised after a fatal illness purloins her hope. Not only that but she's stuck in a rewinding misery from her past friend whom she treats dearly as her lover. It proves to her that forever is nothing but a statement with no meaning. Her usual optimistic self slowly leaves her as glioblastoma takes over her body restraining her from seeing the light of this world. In that small world of darkness, she found a glimmer of hope, a mysterious guy, Callisto. The man who turns the word forever into a reality and the man who proves that there was still something to live for.

KRYSTELLA
"Kuya, how much is this po?"
I asked while rumbling through my pocket. We have our two-week Christmas break. And somehow napad-pad ako sa Japan.
Anlayo 'no? Walang magawa eh.
"Forty-five lang para sayo ate," he answered.
Luh! Nagtagalog.
He was smiling widely while holding out my order. He looked young. I didn't know that pati bata dito nagtratrabaho.
"O-oh! Filipino ka rin po?" tanong ko.
"Oo, Bakit? Mukha ba akong tisoy? Sabi na ba eh." Umangat ang gilid ng labi at tumawa. Feelingerong 'to! May mas gwapo pa akong nakita sayo kuya. Hmmp.
I checked the time on my watch.
4:55 pm
Shit! I need to go.
"Thank you at hindi na mauulit," mabilis kong sinabi.
"ate--"
Oh, how much I love it here.
Just like how much I loved him.
Ano nanamang pinagsasabi ko?
Tanging hangin lang ang maririnig mo dito. That's why favorite spot namin 'to ni Cal. Tahimik. Walang mang-iistorbo. We're both introverted that's why.
I walked towards the bench.
Our bench
Contaminated with germs daw 'yon.
Ang arte 'no?
Oo nga, ang arte. Ang yaman. Ang sungit.
But even after all his flaws, minahal ko parin.
But not all things are meant to be that way. 'Yong mga cliché happy ending na 'yan? It's only fictional. Trust me, out of all the romance novels I've read.
That's why we should never trust anyone. Unless kilalang kilala mo talaga.
Last time nga itong kaibigan kong tong si Namy, akala niya prince charming 'yong katabi niya.
'yon pala mangnanakaw!
E'di nawalan ng cellphone.
Tatanga-tanga kasi.
May pa-true love true love pa siya.
I sighed. It's really fun to remember old memories. I miss them very much.
Bitter and sweet, just how I like it.
I wrapped it around my neck and breath heavily. I saw a little bit of fog coming out of my mouth.
It fell slowly as everything in my sight felt like in slow motion.
Giniginaw ako.
Warm embraces never felt so cold.
I'm sitting on my favorite spot.
Seeing my favorite Sakura tree. Wearing my favorite scarf.
Drinking my favorite coffee. In my favorite season.
Right now, I found myself sitting at our usual spot here in Japan, but for the first time...
I'm alone.
