His appearance ruined her wedding, and his words made her father changed his mind. He became her bridegroom in the end and had her been his prisoner. The only reason why he married her was to avenge his family. When she finally learned the truth, she broke down and began planning to run away. She succeeded and disappeared in his world. Chapter 1 Messing Up The Wedding

It all started with a wedding.

The bride looked mighty unhappy but everyone else were having the time of their lives.

"Do you, Neil, take Bonnie to be your lawfully wedded wife?" the priest asked seriously.

Bonnie Meng tightened her grip on her bouquet. Shortly after, she heard Neil Xia's determined answer.

"I do."

'But I do not, '

Bonnie thought to herself. She lowered her head and kept her thoughts to herself.

This wedding came quicker than she expected. She wasn't able to do anything to stop it. It was a shotgun wedding. Three days after they got engaged, they were already pushed to walk to the altar. The marriage was between the Xia family and the Meng family.

The purpose of the marriage was to give the Meng family a chance to breathe while they were embroiled in a critical situation.

"Do you, Bonnie, take Neil to be your lawfully wedded husband?" the priest continued, unaware of the turmoil inside Bonnie's head.

Everyone's eyes turned to Bonnie, which made her uncomfortable.

"I…" She glanced at her mother's pleading eyes and her father's sweating face. Inwardly, she sighed dejectedly. "I do."

From his seat, the head of the Meng family, Talon Meng, breathed a sigh of relief. Their family was now saved. Over the pews of the church, Talon smiled at Mr. and Mrs. Xia. His daughter was finally useful.

Unfortunately, all bad things happened when one thought it was safe.

"You can't get married!"

A clear voice sounded from the church's double doors. Bonnie didn't even finish saying her vows when the voice cut in. Everyone turned to the intruder.

Her eyes met the man's and she felt as if she had crashed into an iceberg.

She felt cold all over.

The man's eyes were narrowed in murderous intent.

"Who are you?" Talon rose from his seat and shouted at the intruder.

He had placed all his hopes on this wedding. He couldn't allow anyone to destroy his family's only saving grace.

"Uncle Talon, don't you remember me?" The man began to walk slowly towards Talon.

His long strides ate up the distance as he walked inside in a well-tailored suit. The guests couldn't see his face clearly as it was against the light.

Finally, when they could see clearly, Talon's face immediately changed.

It wasn't because the man was too ugly. On the contrary, he was too handsome.

He had thick eyebrows that framed a pair of slightly sunken eyes. His face gave off a Western aura. His high nose and thin, upturned lips made him look fierce and sneering all the time.

It was the first time Bonnie thought the word 'unruly' could perfectly describe the man. He looked charmingly unruly.

"Atlas Zhuo? Is that you?" Talon finally recognized the man. He stepped back unsteadily and fell down in his seat.

Her father's reaction confused Bonnie. Who was this Atlas Zhuo? And why was her father acting like he had seen a ghost?

"So you still remember my father?" Atlas crouched down to Talon's level and sighed. "Uncle Talon, you should also remember that my parents died twenty years ago."

Atlas patted Talon, which made the older man jump in shock. The intruder's eyes twinkled in mischief.

"So you are Atlas's son? Gavin Zhuo?" Talon squeezed out in a trembling voice. The muscles on his face twisted into an ugly smile as he tried to keep his calm.

This was all very funny for Gavin. "That's right," Gavin said as he nodded happily.

Talon stared at Gavin in awe. The man in front of him was intimidating beyond belief. Fear clutched Talon's heart the more he stared at the young man.

"Oh, it's you! It's been a long time." Talon chuckled as he tried to pretend he was familiar with Gavin. He nervously glanced at Mr. and Mrs. Xia who looked very puzzled before he turned his attention back to Gavin. "I'm so happy you could make it to Bonnie's wedding. I won't blame you for coming in late."
