Hey! My name's Chloe. But I'm not going to talk about myself here. Let me tell you a story of a girl named Kim Adriana Roberts. I'm going to warn you though, she's really annoyingly childish. She's also innocent AF. She may get under your nerves sometimes. She's not that hardworking when it comes to her studies and she has a very lucid reason behind that; her dad is the owner of one of the greatest electronics companies in the world so why bother studying when she already knows she's not going to be a hobo, right? Remember London Tipton from The Suit Life of Zack and Cody? Yup, she's just like that. Probably a little more mature though. Yet she still couldn't ask for more than this perfect life she has. She has a bubbly and loyal best friend. She's enrolled in a prestigious school where only rich people are allowed. She may not be popular but at least she's respected. They have a very fast internet connection. Different boy bands posters plastered on her room. A room full of One Direction collectibles. She always has the latest iPhone and Android models. Yup she has two phones! And lastly, a loving and caring dad. A perfect life indeed. So how in the world did she end up being a bride of a hundred weddings? Let's go see and find out.
*Kim's POV*
"Kim, will you marry me?"
Kyle asks as he kneels down before me, pulling out a small diamond ring from his back pocket. And like any other speechless girl in a romance movie, I cover my mouth with my hands and gasp in shock. The love of my life continues to smile at me, his eyes glinting with anticipation.
I slowly nod and beam at him, "Yes. Yes, I will marry you Kyle"
He stands up on his feet, pulls me in a tight embrace, and cups my face as he rests his forehead on mine, "You just made me the happiest man alive baby. I love you so much"
"I love you too" I reply. He gazes at me with pure adoration before easing closer to my lips. Just a little more and...
"Miss Roberts! What in the world are you doing?" My eyes immediately widen in surprise. I stare at the book directly in front of my face as if I was about to kiss it. What. The. Fudge. "Were you even listening to what I've been saying?"
I blink twice, "What?" Was I daydreaming about Kyle again?
Sir Jeremy, the glaring teacher across the desk, sighs, "I guess you're not" He then furiously slides my test paper towards me. "You failed you exam, again!"
Oh right! This annoying teacher called me to his office just because I didn't pass our Math exam. Now I remember. I carefully look down on the test paper lying on the desk and notice the big F on the right side. Well F you too Mr. Lincoln.
I raise an eyebrow at him, "Sir, do you really need to make all your exams so complicated? I mean, I was so good in math in my grade school years. I only got this bad ever since high school teachers decided it would be awesome to include letters and parentheses with numbers"
He pinches the bridge of his nose, "So are you saying that it's my fault that you failed this exam?"
"Yes" I exclaim. "This is our senior year, think about all the other students who won't receive their diplomas just because they couldn't pass this really hard exam" I say with my best persuasive tone that always charms my dad whenever I want something.
He scoffs, "Not to be rude or anything, but you're the only one who failed this test and will not receive your so-called diploma if you continue this kind of behavior" Well that's a shocking revelation.
"Oh? Well, uh, I mean" I mumble in confusion. Darn it, this is tough. "But it's so difficult and useless!" I'm not even going to use this freakin' Calculus in real life.
"That's not what the rest of the class said when I asked how it went" He crosses his arms over his chest. He's only wearing a white slightly see-through shirt which practically allows me to see his manly boobs. He has chesticles? I stifle a snort from my own inside joke and gaze back to his intense sea-green eyes.
"Just because everyone said it, doesn't mean it's true. I still believe I'm telling the truth."
I hear him click his tongue in irritation, "Do you want me to call your dad about this" He threatens. So what? Who cares? My dad is way too busy to even answer his own daughter's calls. Having a busy parent has its own perks too you know.
"Sure. No problem. Can I leave now?"
"Yes, before I get a coronary" He says, clearly exasperated.
"Don't blame me; you're the one who called me here" I stand up from my seat and head towards the door but before I pull it open, I crumple my test paper and drop it on the floor. "Hope you won't mind picking that up" I wink and leave his office.
I hate him so darn much, like, who does he even think he is? Do I really need to pay a visit to his smelly office every time I don't meet his "precious" standards? He even humiliated me in front of the whole class yesterday just because I didn't do my assignment. Like, what the hell is that? It's not my fault I couldn't understand a single thing on the text book.
And is he paying me to do my school works? No! I'm actually paying him to educate me, but all he's been doing for the past months is blabber none sense about numbers. So he doesn't have the right to disgrace me like that. He's such an arrogant jerk who doesn't care about other people's feelings.
The only good thing about him is that he's handsome and maybe a little hot with his chiseled arms and all. But I'm not going to let him know that. That'll only inflate his already gigantic ego.
I find my best friend, Ella, waiting for me outside the office. "Everything ok, I hope?" She's such an optimist. She's wearing the usual school uniform with a bag strapped around her body, her arms pressing the books close to her chest. Ella and I met in a daycare center when we were still toddlers and we've been inseparable since then. Both her parents are also successful entrepreneurs like mine.
"Yeah, I just failed my exam, nothing unusual" I say with a smile. I bet he's going to give an extra credit or something anyway so there's nothing to worry about.
"Aw, that's okay. I'm sure you did your best with that test and that's what matters" She soothes. "Oh I know! Let's watch a movie at my place. A Leonardo DiCaprio marathon will surely make everything better. Just let me put these in my locker" She cheerfully invites and I let her pull me through the hallway, until she suddenly stops in a corner, causing me to stumble on my feet.
"He's here" She mumbles.
"Who?" I ask confusedly.
"You know who"
I gasp, "Voldemort?"
She glares at me, "No, you idiot." Then she cocks her head the right and I follow her gaze. Oh.
"Kyle" I try to fight the heat creeping up my face.
"He's just standing there beside my locker! Oh my gosh I'm gonna die! What if he's waiting for you?" Funny how my friend is more excited that I am right now.
Let me introduce to you, my long time childhood crush, Kyle Dylan Wilson. Yup, he's the guy I was daydreaming about a while ago. Kyle is your typical good looking boy-next-door kind of guy with his copper brown hair that rightly frames his attractive face, perfectly sculptured nose, and plush kissable lips. He's also sweet, caring, and funny which makes more girls swoon all over him, including me.
We were once close friends back in grade school, together with Ella and few kids. Then high school happened and everything changed. He became part of the popular group since he's a football player while Ella and I are stuck as wimpy teenagers.
"Oh shoot, there's the hoe" Ella says in disgust. Hailey, also known to us as the hoe, saunters towards Kyle and wraps her arms around his neck. Hailey is your stereotype head cheerleader with long dark hair and balloon boobies. Long skinny legs and bitchy attitude adds to her description too.
We try to ignore them as we reach Ella's locker. I think Kyle glanced at us, or maybe it's just me being hopeful. "My parents aren't going to be home tonight" I hear Hailey say as she slowly slithers her finger or his face. Eew, talk about Public Display of Whore-iness. Add that to your vocabulary guys.
"Yeah?" He replies huskily. Instead of being more irritated, I almost burst in laughter when I notice Ella's disgusted face.
"Some people just don't realize the difference between a hallway and a room" Ella hisses as she continues to arrange her stuff. I didn't know her locker was the messy.
Hailey rolls her eyes at us, "Fine. I heard the janitor just left his closet"
Kyle clears his throat and carefully pushes her away, "Uh... I'm not in the mood today"
"What? Why?" Hailey pouts, wrapping her arms around his waist. Ella then slams her locker shut and faces them with an aggressive expression. Oh no.
"Because you're a walking STD" She says with a forced smile.
"Excuse me?" Hailey steps forward, implying a brawl with her.
Ella directs her gaze to Kyle, "You can do much better than this whor-" But before she could finish her sentence, I clutch her elbow and drag her away from them. I know if she utters another foul word, they'll both end up in the office... or in the hospital. Whichever comes first.
"You didn't need to do that" I say in panic once we reached the school garden.
"I so needed to do that. We've known Kyle for so long and we both can agree that you're much better than Hailey"
"Yeah right" I roll my eyes "As if I have the curves his girlfriend has" I may have that lovely face everyone compliments me, but I don't have those amazing body features a guy really needs. "I'm a Taylor Swift, she's Kendall Jenner. Could you see the difference now?"
"Oh shut up, Kim, you're discouraging yourself again" She snaps "At least Taylor has an awesome personality unlike the Jenners and Kardashians who all went to plastic surgeries. They're ugly inside and out. And Kendall has small boobies too"
"But you can't deny that even if Hailey's hideous in the inside, she's still beautiful AF on the outside."
"You're right. We'll probably find our soulmates once we're 40 or something; when men are already tired of their wrinkled Hailey wives"
I sigh, "Sad but true"

Everyone was shocked to the bones when the news of Rupert Benton's engagement broke out. It was surprising because the lucky girl was said to be a plain Jane, who grew up in the countryside and had nothing to her name. One evening, she showed up at a banquet, stunning everyone present. "Wow, she's so beautiful!" All the men drooled, and the women got so jealous. What they didn't know was that this so-called country girl was actually an heiress to a billion-dollar empire. It wasn't long before her secrets came to light one after the other. The elites couldn't stop talking about her. "Holy smokes! So, her father is the richest man in the world?" "She's also that excellent, but mysterious designer who many people adore! Who would have guessed?" Nonetheless, people thought that Rupert didn't love her. But they were in for another surprise. Rupert released a statement, silencing all the naysayers. "I'm very much in love with my beautiful fiancee. We will be getting married soon." Two questions were on everyone's minds: "Why did she hide her identity? And why was Rupert in love with her all of a sudden?"
Linsey was stood up by her groom to run off with another woman. Furious, she grabbed a random stranger and declared, "Let's get married!" She had acted on impulse, realizing too late that her new husband was the notorious rascal, Collin. The public laughed at her, and even her runaway ex offered to reconcile. But Linsey scoffed at him. "My husband and I are very much in love!" Everyone thought she was delusional. Then Collin was revealed to be the richest man in the world. In front of everyone, he got down on one knee and held up a stunning diamond ring. "I look forward to our forever, honey."
