Let My Cousin Have My Husband
My husband was often praised by friends as the husband every woman dreams of. Everyone said he adored me, treating me like the most precious thing in the world. Until the day I went for a prenatal checkup during my pregnancy. My cousin called him for a farewell conversation before she took her own life. Without hesitation, he abandoned me, six months pregnant, and rushed over to her in a panic. My mother urged me to be generous and allow my cousin to rely on him, as she was suffering from depression. My brother scolded me, "Your cousin pleaded for you to stay in this family. Whatever she wants, you should let her have it!" I found it utterly absurd because I was supposed to be their family. She was nothing more than a thief who usurped my rightful place. But when I finally decided to give up on all of my family, they changed their mind.
