My daughter And Husband Made A Wish In German
At our daughter's birthday party, she made a wish in German in front of the candles, she thought I didn't understand German. "I wish Renee could become my mom this year." My husband chuckled and gently ruffled her hair. "That might just come true sooner than you think." I stood there, stunned, as the cake slipped from my hands and fell to the floor. My husband looked at me with concern, "What's wrong?" I shook my head repeatedly, forcing a smile, "Just slipped, I guess." Only I knew the truth-I had understood the German wish and was so flustered that I couldn't even hold onto the cake.
